Good news but what is the time frame of these multan-sukkur and then karachi-lahore motorways being completed. If its completed before the next elections Nawaz would be able to bag a lot of votes since this karachi-lahore motorway was a major thing on his manifesto and it appealed a lot of people.

The early harvest projects are going to be a major highlight for Pakistan's future, but it won't be enough. In fact, even if all the energy projects under CPEC, and out of CPEC are completed, Pakistan will need to immediately start working on another CPEC level mega energy projects, because Pakistan's demand for energy will likely quadruple to 90,000-100,000MWs by 2025-30, from today's demand of 20-22,000MWs. As it is, once CPEC is complete (est.2025), Pakistan's total capacity will only be at 50-60,000MW, a shortfall of 30-40,000MWs.

The current energy requirements are 20-25,000 MW if I'm not wrong. Don't you think it would take a while for the requirements to go up to 100,000 MW. Its 4 times the current requirement and 2025-30 is not too far.

Pakistan's population is set to grow to 244 million people within the next 15 years. This means, more jobs and industry will be appear, it also means that there will be higher consumer demand for energy; add all of this, and you get a lot of problems, if Pakistan doesn't act now.
