Sukhoi Attacks Itanagar’s Night Silence

Shattering the night silence of Capital Complex, Sukhoi Su-30 MKI has been conducting routine flight for the last few nights to remain alert and prepared. After China test flew its 2nd stealth fighter (J-31) on October 30 last transforming it into a top regional military power, how could India fail to flex its military muscle? Sukhoi has been conducting routine practices from the Tezpur IAF base in Assam.

Sukhoi Su-30MKI jointly developed by Russia’s Sukhoi and India’s Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Indian Air Force (IAF) as an air superiority fighter is an all-weather, long-range and multi-role capability supersonic jet. On October 11 last, the GoI proposed to buy another 42 Su-30MKI aircrafts from Russia. If finalized, this deal will increase India’s order total to 272.

The Shenyang J-31, rumoured to be nicknamed “Gyrfalcon” or Falcon Eagle, is a fifth generation mid-sized fighter using Russian-made engines to be later replaced by Chinese-made WS-13 engines. It is currently under development by Shenyang Aircraft CorporationThe J-31 where it made the maiden 11-minute flight in Cotober last.

China launched the first version of the fighter almost two years ago. Experts hailed it as a milestone as China is the second country after America to have developed it. Compared with the heavy fighter J-20 launched last year, the J-31 is a middle sized fighter using Russian middle-thrust engines, although it will later be equipped with Chinese-made WS-13 engines, according to report.

China needs both the heavier J-20 and more nimble J-31 to defend its air space. Just like the US F-22 and F-35 fifth-generation fighters, the J-20 and J-31 will complement each other during future operations,” Bai Wei, former deputy editor of the weekly Aviation World, told the newspaper. The J-31 and J-20 will add to China’s offensive as well as defensive capability, but “it will take many, many years” for them to enter service with the Air Force, said Roggeveen, a former analyst for Australian government intelligence and editor of the Lowy Institute’s blog LowyInterpreter.org.

Even today. You can't see it but you can hear it, may be that's because they fly at very high altitude.

An unworthy article comparing a non incident to fifth hen Chinese aircraft.
Dunt know whats the motive of the author to write it. And such threads can be avoided, particularly when 2 threads are going on Arunachal show off incident

India is testing its night capability on its borders and China is unnecessarily responding to these routine sorties.
