If he got in that far, then it is a failure of security. The only thing that prevented casualties was just sheer luck that the belt failed to explode. Otherwise it could have been gruesome.

If you live in Islamabad or anything, you will know that Barakahu and Tarnol are terrorist hotbeds...so quite possible that the bomb was made and assembled and plan hatched all in the vicinity, and it was not a foreign job, like a bomber coming from Waziristan etc.

It is our failure that terrorists live amongst us in towns and cities.

If you live in Islamabad or anything, you will know that Barakahu and Tarnol are terrorist hotbeds...so quite possible that the bomb was made and assembled and plan hatched all in the vicinity, and it was not a foreign job, like a bomber coming from Waziristan etc.

A proper investigation into the would-be bomber's contacts would reveal much useful information. A proper investigation. Not just locking up his family and friends and doing chitrol.

how can you say its divine intervention when it explodes in other mosques. Most likely that bomb was not assembled properly.

The suicide bomber had come two times before this. He came once in the morning, told the mosque administration that he is from the Army, and a Colonel sahib is going to come to pray here, the mosque was of Shia sect. The mosque administration said any ID or something, he said none, so he was told to go away due to suspicious behavior.

He then came in a second time, as the prayer ended, he entered the mosque and shot at people and got killed himself.
