There is no denying someone shooting him. I think deflagration slowed him down and bullet finished him off.

in pakistan gov give free pills injunction condoms and even pay them if they agree on surgery dear. but these idiots will never do it till age 50 they make kids and then throw them on streets .that is one of the major issue we have over population damn humans are cheap then vegetables .in pakistan lady health workers visit home and give them advised medicine etc for birth control .

Or it could be both...

The suicide bomber tried to blow it up, jacket caught fire, he got confused...meanwhile the guard shoots him. Both a combination of luck and guard's bravery.

Not like the incident in the Quetta case where the Hazara civilian shot at the bomber from a considerable range without any warning.
