suicide attacks of any kind are haram in any situation. This is the consensus view among ulema including the conservative "wahabbi" ulema.

Then the ulemas should go and tell this clearly to the suicide would be bombers.

I think they are afraid to go near a suicide bomber cause he is wearing a suicide vest.

i don't think it would be a good idea to negotiate with TTP.

You have lost 2 trillion dollars, 20,000+ countrymen, millions gone homeless, jobless and intellectually polluted with ideology of hatred. Pakistan has high stakes in this was against TTP. Negotiation doesn't mean accept what they way but it means use second Channel of influence to resolve your disputes. Keep guns pointed at them but also offer them a path to resolve matters. Otherwise War Against Terror is not coming to in end, even in next 20 years.

Well the reality is that most of the extremists actually don't listen to the traditional ulema. That is why many scholars in Pakistan have been targeted whoever spoke out against suicide bombings. In Saudi Arabia itself, a fatwa was released by Bin Baz back in the 80s saying suicide bombings in Palestine is also haram. However, HAMAS and related organisations refused to listen to this. For example, OBL and Zawahiri e.t.c are not Islamic scholars or mullahs even but a businessman and a medical doctor respectively.

Even JuD chief is not an Islamic scholar himself. But its people like him who are hijacking these things andconfusing people. I guess its more upto GoP and other muslim countries to take the initative tospread this directive that suicide attacks are haram irrespective of the circumstances targetted to the muslims primarily.

Suicide attacks in Pakistan LAHORE: Jamat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed, in his first ever on camera interview has said that suicide attacks in Pakistan have no moral ground and are 'illegal'. He also demanded public execution of perpetrators.

He was talking exclusively to Geo News.

He was of the view that some foreign elements were trying to create religious disharmony in the country, adding that Pakistan was being forced to remain a front line state in the war against terror.

Hafiz Saeed blamed India for Data Darbar attacks and challenged India to prove JuD's connection with Mmbai attacks. When US can negotiate with Taliban why not Pakistan, he questioned.

JuD chief pointed out that there was no restriction on his party. 'Outfits involved in militancy should be banned and strict action be taken against them.'

Does he not sound like talking on behalf of government.
First how does he know about Data Darbar, it has become a habit to blame India, you do not need a proof for that.
Cannot expect better from this illiterate terrorist. He sure seems to be unofficial voice of ISI/PA. No wonder they do not want to find proof's against him.
