They don't. Except for celebrities. Let me explain. A north-Indian upper caste father would let his daughter marry a north-Indian Muslim guy than a upper-caste south India boy. They prefer marrying their daughters to Muslim rather than a lower caste hindu.

While on other hand a Muslim father will never allow his daughter to marry a non-Muslim.
