Second sub Ariahnt, well expect it to hit waters by 2016-17, at the same time IAC2 will be ready for launch.

and that will make perfect sense.

All I said is hit waters, it will hit water by 2016-17, even Arihant will be sea worthy after 2 years and then they will certify the reactor and crew survivability.

the second Arihant will be bigger, so exopect it to be in the force by that time.
i dont think its possibel to induct it earlier than this. Saying from what we have experienced.

-INS Sindhuraj (S57) / Refit Completed, including Klub-S
-INS Sindhuvir (S58) / Refit Completed, including Klub-S
-INS Sindhuratna (S59) / Refit Completed, including Klub-S
-INS Sindhukesari (S60) / Refit Completed, including Klub-S
-INS Sindhukirti (S61) / is undergoing refit and be back in 2011
-INS Sindhuvijay (S62) / Refit Completed, including Klub-S
-INS Sindhurakshak (S63) will go for refit and will be back in 2012.
-INS Sindhushastra (S65) has Klub-S from the beginning


So where is the problem with these sub?

I think the amur/u212 should be ordered asap may be get 3-5 subs of each type to reduce induction time.

unless AMUR is fitted with AIP, we should not consider it...BTW why cant we get LADA itself..we are special customers..

And we cant get U-212 also..Its U-214 which we'll get..
5 of each i.e. LADA with AIP and U-214 is all we need ..
