This year,Germany took the first place followed by Sweden and Austria. Congratulations to them and all other participating teams ! A great competition to promote interoperability, camaraderie etc. It would be good if more countries took part in this challenge.
To me the leopard 2 is sexier... idk there is something about it... wether the first gen that had a tiger 1 inspired turret or the pointy arrow shaped modern ones
Yep... modular strap ons basicallyWell the latter simply are spaced "wedge" armour added on top of the underlying frontal glacis of the earlier design. I don't think it would be too difficult to refurbish the older ones with the newer angular stuff if those operators deem it to be needed.
More fun vid:
Reminds me of a scene in the movie Buffalo soldiers when a bunch of drugged up yank tankers in a M60 run over a volkswagen beetle......and one of them is like "oh noooo... we ran over a beetle...*giggles*".

The first four places were teams using the Leopard II.
The last four places were teams not using the Leopard II.
So far, in three years, this event has only seen Leopard II winners.
Seeing the tests,it didn't seem the Tanks performances really made a difference in the rankings. It was mostly due to the crews. There are also some tests in which countries operating tanks with 3 crews instead of 4 were penalized. (Ukrainians and French)
Despite operating the Leopard, the Poles came last the previous year, even behind the Ukrainians and their T-64BM.
You can assume some countries have more time to spent to train for those kind of competitions than others.
A good argument for not having an autoloader is that you have an additional crewman that can help with maintenance and other tasks.
Sweden has been practicing for some time!
