Stop purchase of BEL night vision devices for rifles

This should be taken care of seriously. Corruption smell is coming....

Corruption? This is a Public sector unit. It would be fair to assume that some of the complaints might come about because money hasn't been paid. If there are defective pieces, they can & will be replaced/rectified. Don't see what the issue here is.

.
If it is true, they should be replaced. I dont know if this news is creditable or not.

If its true they will be replaced but they way people started the bashing even canceling the order and corruption came here!!! Why you forget that BEL is a PSU and such defective systems is always there in initial batches.

CPM is not certainly a source. They are asking for stopping the purchase but will be very happy if we buy them from Russia!!!! Even if they are defective.

Why would they be happy if India buys from Russia?

do anyone of you have a feeling the scope is too big ,I thik this scope is for very long range sniper operation as it will make the gun too heavy to be used in high terrains ad CQB.

Range of Insas is only 400-600 meters, so what's the use of long range sniper scope? :undecided:

It looks like a night vision scope to me.

Night vision scopes are big. Atleast the good ones.

Even though BEL is a PSU it doesn't stop the fact that corruption can go on even here. Why do you assume that such facilities are free of corruption in the first place? This assumption is the problem in the first place when it comes to anti corruption efforts. Ultimately, you want a rigorous process to be in place for testing before production starts so that this can be avoided in the first place. If anything, this should have been caught quicker rather wait for so many units to be built. CPM has lost all credibility after the Nuke deal fiasco.....it was clear this party chose China's interests over India's, and that is something that should never be forgotten or taken lightly.

Maybe more weight training should be incorporated in the workouts of the Military. Stop whining and pick up the slack.....

yeah !Then will they use a different scope for day business may be the holographic scope made by alpha tech.
Actually I mean after installing this scope the guns weight will increase substantially and the soldiers mobility will decrease as a result and it looks to me more of a gun which will be used by the soldiers who sit at one place and wait for their targets not for those who have to run here and there to kill terrorist.
