4 years for 1 Ship ...
Excessive time considering how quickly we worked on F22P back in day are people working 1 day a week ?

• F22P was like 1 to 1.5 years
• Azmat Class Missile boats , some were made quickly the first 3 boat at around 1.5 year average

China isn’t like the rest of the world. Their timeline can’t be called ‘’normal’’ therefore if you wanna have some Advantage Western Warships, you must play by the Western Rules.

The current design of vessel is different than that of initially released image of J-class.
The super structure design is different, AShM canisters are different, VLS modules layout is different, SAT-COM and other antennas are different.
This is creating a new confusion. Are both designs official? Or the first image was more a CGI than an actual design?
Or, the one shown now is Pakistan's indigenously designed 4th ship? Or the ships produced in Pakistan and ships produced in Turkey will have different layouts?

Well Delivery Time is something which stands out , in otherwise wonderful deal

• Azmat Class Missile ships which are fairly large ships were also done around 1.5 years per ship for first 3 ships
• OPV done in Romanian Ship yards were done at brisk pace of 1 year or so , western tech

Every time this angle is talked about I just wonder , with advance manufacturing tools why does this takes longer ?

It won't take 4 years. This is called misinformation. They would complete way before and than say we completed it way before time.

Normally what is shown in Pakistani , Navy's Press Release is very close to actuality
However chances are they just used a stock photo which was available rather then what will be 100% configuration

For 4th Azmat class ship , the designed changed a bit so it was visually shown in Formal Press Release (They actually showed the new model)

bhai you need to understand Pakistan's Milgem is not the regular Milgem class but modified and that to the extent that it become difficult to draw the parallel b/w the two just look at the post of @Tipu7 [click here] just above your post both the CGI look so different that no one could say both are the ships from same class .....

So my dear the point is whatever change in the basic Milgen Class is taking place would take time in construction and testing due to differences in some very basic design features from regular Milgem Class Corvette

this whole deal is creating so much confusion that I have stop taking any model or CGI design seriously .... remember the model shown in in signing ceremony of the deal which was the model of regular Milgem Corvette, then some Turkish modeler revealed model with VLS then we saw a model during the keel laying ceremony which was somewhat similar to the previous model with VLS and now this model

No date of completion is given in Pakistan Navy Official press release . Feb 2024 date was given by media channels .

Okay,
1) It is still chinese tech, their ship building, their tests, their certifications their ‘’ecosystem’’

2) Azmat is a Patrol Boat, similiar to our Tuzla Class, this is not something special.

3)OPV’s are not stealth warships... It is like Russia produced 5000 T-34 in 2 weeks, I want my 5000 Abrams in the same time!

If you interested with a real example egypt’s Gowind Class Stealth Corvettes. It took 3 years for first warship. (Without any modifications) Probably delivery date will be similiar for Pakistan... But truth is If someone likes Chinese delivery times, China is their only option, like I said, rest of the world works a little bit different.

I think the correct answer is , we will get better with faster Production , to make more sales, "Production Speed = Sales", more man power , or more work shifts

I imagine Pakistan's need is at least 15 Corvettes , only because we never focused on Navy Prior , requirement fulfilling can only be met with a 1 ship per year goal at least

This would have been a lie, in peace Time our volume will remain that way. We are a NATO country, my friend. We are not china.

It will take time but Turkey has invested greatly in their own Engineering now is time to reap the reward make some sales

Every one agrees the Ship will certainly put Pakistan on a different Level for NAVY modernization, a massive step in right direction

Wow, it terms of size and armament this is much closer to a Frigate then a Corvette. It is very feasable that Turkey is making 2 ships of a different class (MILGEM Corvettes) and the the 2 being made in Pakistan are the Jinnah Frigates. Seems Pak made ones will be in Istanbul class

China has production lines which keeping chugging out ships one after another so no comparison to our Jinnah Class frigate in terms of cost or production time. Also these ships are not Ada class corvettes but custom design which has not gone into production even for turkey. New designs take time to get into production and once production line gets established it become cheaper and production time smaller. Pakistan is getting design rights for Jinnah class so we will not be stopping at the end of fourth ship. In fact as mentioned several times on PDF fourth Jinnah class will form basis for our next gen frigates.
