Given the ships were laid down one year apart there simply wasn't the time to apply lessons that were leanrt in the constriction of the previous ship. Have no doubt that following ships/classes will be so strides signifcantly faster that the P-17s. Additionally with the introduction of modular ship building in India this is going to cut ship-builds by many years. You have to factor in that this was the first time India had constructed a ship as stealthy and advanced as the P-17. Only an idiot would not expect timely construction but a bigger fool would not expect subsequent builds to be considerably quicker.

seriously some one just called a warship a patrol vessel by comparing with weight of other partrol vessel ?

so according to you Milgem class corvette also a partrol vessel (its weight around 2,400 tons)

Russian Admiral Kuznetsov cost 8 years.
French cost 12 years.
INS VIKRAMADITYA cost 9 years by Russian from 2004.

Our liaoning refit from 2005,only cost 6 years.

I cant say that you have no efficiency if your INS Vikrant cost 15-20 years
But your corvette , frigate and destroyer take sooo much years......
