State Department official has a really racist take on U.S.-China relations

.
Why even Australia, your ally, condemns you for that statement?
it is a fact - chinese are a different race than most americans
why is it racist ??

You are completely wrong, Chinese are never religious conscious, most people have little or no opinions on any religions, there's no love or hate to start with.

correction - you probably meant chinese in china
chinese in other countries are extremely race/group consicious.

Chinese are mostly in China, that's why we are called Chinese. When I say Americans, one should automatically know that I am not talking about overseas Americans. In Chinese we consider overseas Chinese foreigners, 华人 and 中国人 are two different concepts.

USA - China rivalry in term of economy and technology, it's good for the world.

If war and isolation are not involved.

I guess if USA can't compete with China anymore, they will launch a war.

It's nothing genius to predict it.

That's why a war will definitely escalate to nuclear exchange -- because we are not Caucasian.

But after war US will not be the superpower.
it's hard to make decision.

Race is always a very big issue in US, taking New Jersey transit from New York to New Jersey, I found many all wihite or all black towns along the way. Most Americans don't say this problem but deep inside they all feel strongly about it, white superamacy exists more or less in most of their minds, facing challenge from a non White nation profoundly unnerves the majority of white population, don't try to deny it, every person knows that.

I am from the Garden State. I didn't see the "towns" that you are talking about dude. You might have forgotten that the US is a country of immigrants. Are you sure you were in Jersey? o_O

I lived in US, I know everything about US racism, racism is never a big issue in China because China is largely a homogenous nation, claiming China is more racist than US, do you believe yourself?

So just because you "lived" in the US you already more than the Americans themselves is that what you are sayin'?

I lived in Madison which is a small town dominated by white community, but on the way to Madison I saw towns which you can barely see any white people on the street from the commuter train.

Better than those who never lived in China for one hour but keep talking what China is like.

"It’s the first time that we will have a great power competitor that is not Caucasian.”

How many none Caucasian population on earth? it's only work on China's favor the more white people want to defend only Caucasian interest at the expense of none Caucasian and bring race issue into politic.

They have always been racially motivated and the only people who can't seem to figure this out are the Indians. I think everybody knows this except the indians who think they are part of them aka Caucasian family. They are in for a rude awakening if that is what they think

I think the US realises how fast the Chinese are making progress. The BRI is gaining countries from 'the western world' as well, and the EU itself hasn't shown any ibterest in following the US blindly with regards to China.

The US is therefore trying to use the race card to appeal to the growing race focused groups on the rise in the west to try and keep their 'group' intact.

The problem is that the Chinese haven't shown any interest in military confrontation or exporting their ideology which would threaten others.

So the US is finding it hard to justify it's attempts at starting another cold war with the NATO countries following blindly.

So the fact that they've had to mention race at this level to highlight the otherness of the Chinese shows how desperate they are in trying to justify this whole thing with China.
