Anti-Sri Lanka feeling runs high among Tamil Nadu people because all the political turmoil in Sri Lanka in last 60 years like scrapping away citizenship of Tamil, Singhala only act, banning Indian movies , Tamil refugees in India. Unless and until Sri Lanka don't have proper constitutional arrangement for Sri Lankan Tamils ensuring ultimate peace, the Sri Lankan should not visit smaller cities in Tamil Nadu.

while it may be true that non-Tamilians dont have any sympathy for LTTE(as some fringe element of Tamilians do)..may ppl do share concerns of Tamilians on how SL tamilians are treated in Srilanka...

Tamilians are just like other indians for me(a maharashtrian) i have some tamil friends here in mumbai and they are just like any other indian or any other human being...dont try to be rafi...

Thats not true,

Tamils politically have isolated themselves due to a small fringe of linguistic chauvinists and half-baked educated people and as a result most indians have a negative perception of TN especially Madras.

Many people may not like me saying this because this is a pakistani forum and all but all is fair game on the internet.

So,yeah there will be a few Indians who would hate Tamils persay due to their political and to a certain extent cultural isolation but nonetheless,the reality is that TN is a regular place and very peaceful and very surprisingly very open and cosmopolitan than many supposedly cosmopolitan places.

But lof of people still hold negative perception and it is their loss that they cant make difference between perception and reality.But the worst has to be the morons who let others make their judgement and pass it off as their own without having been there for real.

I dont know how to put it across,If Ariel Sharon was to visit Amman/Damascus and walk on the streets 3-4 years ago and u can imagine what would have happened.
