Serious fundamental conditions must be enforced on Sri Lanka on their economic model if this aid is going to achieve anything in the medium to long term.

This can either be resolved naturally with a famine, or it needs to be resolved colonially by the colonial masters.

IMF will impose conditions for fiscal discipline. Bilateral relations are important to preserve for countries like India. So India will not impose such conditions
