My point was that Geely Cars are sold/advertised as Geely by micro, not the case with Hafie(MX7, Trend) which are Chinese cars, but advertised and sold as Lankan cars.

It depend on the agreements signed between Sri Lankan companies & Chinese companies regarding the product.

Indian cars and 2 wheeler segment are doing extremely well. Even SL along with 20-30 countries imports many car from India.
