Don't post BS or cpc propaganda we are not living in disconnected world just goggle it and you know the truth.

Indian automobile companies holds 95% of the auto market in the island nation.:D

India's automobile export to Sri Lanka = US$ $800 million each year.
:woot:

Are you on crack?? Indian imports constitite 50% and is main consists of Commmercial vehicles and the two and three wheel segment.. Passenger vehicles is completely dominated by Japanese imports that constitutes to 30% of all vehicles..

India dominates the Sri Lankan market for vehicle imports

Sri Lanka BUSINESS:: Vehicle Imports decline 21 percent in 2012 * India enjoys lion s share, Japan losing market share as China emerges as third largest vehicle supplier

Pls provide links or sources to your lofty claims..Its been common to see here in the forum that most Indian posters tend to make blanket statements with no credible sources to back them up what so ever, Or lack the ability for a cohesive counter fact that result in diversion of the topics or resort to smileies to cover up thier incompetance.. Pretty pathetic to say the least

Talked to few Auto-Rickshaw wners in Jaipur, India. Told him about this idea about 2 years ago. They are ready to take it, all it needs is working model.

Thanks to Sri Lanka, we will have a test case and a study to make.

I think it has been a considerable success in the island.. Heard there were certain mechanical defects but i guess it's a work inprogress.. Would work well in Indian overcrowded metros

Indian vehicles in Sri Lanka are mainly 3 wheelers and commercial vehicles.don`t post rubbish..no one who has been to SL would believe your nonsence

In Sri Lanka, we have a stable tax system. I have a toyota prado jeep in sri lanka. A friend from India works for airtel told me in india i can buy a Bmw car for that.

I did not get you. What has stable tax system got to do with car price?
You have higher price because of import duty.

BMW has massive production in India. Toyota has nothing of the sort in SL. How is this anything to do with a "stable tax sytem"??!

Mate, Indian automobile companies don't hold 95% of the market even within India itself.

Why all the hostility, all you Lankans? On a recent visit to SL to visit my friend from High School, I saw very few (if any) Indian passenger vehicles. Most Indian vehicles are restricted to the commercial segments, (inclusive of the Nano etc).

Thanks for that.. Some people here make obnoxious statements with no credible sources to back them up what so ever.. It's refreshing to see some one with first hand expereince.. India imports does hold a complete monopoly on commercial heavy vehicles and the 2 and 3 wheeler segments
