That would be a lie as was proved in court. Even if he was 23 are you telling me a 23 year old was in charge of planning and coordinating death squads as he was accused off. Then they accused him of actually killing people. They then retracted evidence when it appeared that claims of him being in multiple places on the same day . The people who were accusing were common criminals and others were not even named. How do you mount defence when you do not know who is accusing you.
The trial did not meet any standard of impartiality as has been stated by international jurist many times over.
People know the truth. Not a single person stood in court to accuse SQC. If you knew of SQC family you would understand they are too rich and powerful and prestigious for one of their own to be going round killing poor villagers. SQC father was the speaker of Pakistans parliament at the time. They simply used hear say evidence which basic journalists proved to be bogus. Again no one stood in court to accuse him of anything.
Point is neither man faced their accuser and was able to offer a defence.
SQC defence included US ambassador and ex Pakistan PM .... Neither was allowed a visa to present themselves before court.
Enough said.... It is a sad day and for me, SQC was not a point of inane Internet discussion, he was someone I knew and respected. BD lost a patriot and BAL scums undoubtedly will see the fruits of their misdeeds.
I am saying he was 23 years old in 1971, as per the link. Prior to this date, I did not even know about him or what he did. How can I make an opinion about him.
Bangladeshi Supreme Court did what it had to do. I will be content to know that a perpetrator of genocide was served justice. Now, as you are saying, he was falsely accused. There were claims of him being in multiple places on same day etc. So, obviously there evidences that led you to believe so. Why don't you share them ?
