Von Braun was more German than American. Educationally anyway

Berners-Lee was an Englishman educated in Britain so again not an American.

America has just been a magnet for such rare individuals.

I don't wish to be rude but there is strong evidence that Americans become dumbed down after a generation or two of assimilation. :)

The American space program is based off Soviet rocket engines too.
How predictable. And Berners-Lee did not invent the Internet. But if he did not, then who did?

Englishman Tim Berners-Lee?
For reference.
You can not name one specific inventor - radio, television, Internet and cellular phone.
Main scientific achievements of the United States were made by foreign experts (it is not contestable fact). U.S. is the only country that has managed to get rich first and second world wars. Dollar is world currency. Print more. Or the U.S. stocks ended toilet paper? Therefore, when people talk about lack of funding of U.S. programs. This makes me doubt.
The most important achievement is the U.S. "victory" in the lunar race (until now, many people argue about the reality of the event).
The Soviet Union launched the first satellite and man into space. Causing these actions impact on American prestige. Americans had to recoup. All landing on the moon was a huge PR company.
1. Competition between the two empires. Really was not any competition. U.S. 90% competed with itself. In the Soviet Union to the lunar program allocates at least a day (the main customer of space industry has been the defense establishment. For military priority is to deliver warheads to the United States. After the Second World War the USSR had to rebuild the economy. USSR Moon program was unable to get the real substantial funding.
2. The Western press landing American astronauts being touted as a remarkable achievement. At the same time silenced achievements of the USSR in lunar exploration.
Russian lunar rover (becoming the progenitor of such systems) for the minimum money spent of research and delivered, so to lunar soil to earth. Virtually the USSR made no less significant contribution to the study of the moon. Very often in the west tend to avoid publicity of the facts that they do not like.

Right...So what I am reading is that out of several hundred millions for the past couple hundred years, not one scientific achievement from the US came from Americans but only from 'foreign experts'. Usually whenever I read this tripe, it is a flag that the speaker has very little experience in R/D and/or manufacturing and his comment are from petty jealousy. How far back do you want to regress? If an American invent <something> people like you will point out that his parents or his grandparents came from another country. It is so funny your line of argument. One would think that if your argument is remotely logical the US should be the most backward country on Earth. But like I said, it is deliciously ironic that people like you would use an American invention -- the Internet -- to spread the idea that Americans are stupid. Thank you very much for revealing yourselves.

This is quiet true. One must realise that Russians when compared to Europeans & Americans delivered products at a fraction of a cost...& perhaps US can do the same; but why not leech out some extra dollars from the congress...US however, did marvelled the Russian engines & has shown good respect to Soviet engine engineers & someone negating this fact is all but wrong.

DefenceDog: Engines That Came In From The Cold

However, in the public due respect to Soviet engineers & scientists isn't practised...& this partly is also because of Soviet themselves...bcz their secrecy [as compared to FREE WORLD] was such that they didn't themselves gave due diligence to their own scientists..

I can think of only Sitting Bull who could claim it from America. He did come up with the concept of data flow through the use of smoke signals.

Wireless telegraphy would be the closest thing to the internet though it's not known where exactly it came from. It could have been Von Steinheil. Berners-Lee created the modern internet, it's difficult to say who came up with the idea of the modern internet. It might have been anyone.

You are too self-critical to themselves.

1. I have never claimed that the Americans stupid.
Just you obviously obsessed with the internet reasoning.
I tried to explain to you that this is a fairly weak position.
2. No one argues that the U.S. backward. Simply recognize that many "inventions in the United States embodied in the finished product. Their roots in other countries.
The fall of Germany gave a huge impetus to the development of science USA.
German rocket engineers have created a school in the U.S. (a fact).

You insulted me suspected petty jealousy.
I am not a small-minded. Therefore, if jealous is on a major. About how Ahtell to Desdemona. Otherwise do not even try.
