SP Tahir Dawar Murdered in Afghanistan by ISIS.

Dear brothers juniors and seniors please do not blame Afghanistan for everything. Please admit the deficiencies in our own system and don't bring shame on ourselves for blaming the ones who are not even able to take care of themselves.

Agreed, it is easy to blame our faults on foreigners and ignore the faults on our own security apparatus and cultural failures. But in all fairness, it is not the victims who are at fault but the increasing conservative attitude of the society in general. IMHO, there are two main reasons for the success of the kidnappers.

Without finding the safe houses to operate and plan, such actions are not possible. The prevailing extremist mindset of the population enables the forces exploiting religious sentiments to easily find local collaborators; because their helpers think that this work is for Allah and thus a 'Kare-Thawab’.

Second is the use of burqa. Al-Qaida/ISIS/Taliban manage to cross the checkpoints with the kidnapped persons because the victim is made to wear the burqa and unless there is a female security agent on hand; no one would dare to unmask what appears to be a burqa-clad lady.

Lal Masjid Mullah also attempted the same ruse, but he is too tall for a woman. However, once you are sitting down, you can get away with it. As long as this state of affairs continues, security checkpoints would not be of much use for stopping kidnap victims from being spirited away to the tribal areas or out of Pakistan.
For example:

“KARACHI // Pakistani soldiers rescued the kidnapped son of a senior judge from his Taliban captors on Tuesday, after finding him bound in chains with his mouth taped shut and wearing a burqa to hide his identity.

Awais Shah, the son of Sindh provincial chief justice Sajjad Ali Shah, was kidnapped from outside a supermarket in the southern port city of Karachi on June 21.

He was found in the backseat of a car in a town bordering the northwestern tribal areas”

How the heck do you explain his kidnapping and murder in Afghanistan?

This was obviously a job executed from opium land.

As usual cheap shots at beautiful Islamic teachings. Let us remember that whatever Islam teaches is from Allah, and stays relevant for eternity. So a soon as we see someone pointing at Islamic teachings as the root cause of our problems, we know we are dealing with an enemy of Allah, Prophet Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam, and Islam.

1. The biggest enemies of Pakistan have been liberal sellouts who have helped their masters in America to undermine us. Case in point: Hussain Haqqani, and Dr. Shakeel Afridi. Without any evidence, pointing fingers of suspicion at 'religious extremists' makes you a parrot of American propaganda who always want us to do more, and accuse us of harboring terrorism. This is behavior that is unbecoming of a title holder. @WebMaster @The Eagle @Horus @Dubious

2. There are no security implications of the Burqa. That is because the hands are NOT part of burqa. In the first instance, anyone wearing a burqa can be asked to show their hands. In the second, they can be fingerprinted and checked against the NADRA database.

And this effectively puts to waste your attempt at showing religion as the root cause of our troubles. Shame on you.

Holy crap. How did you manage to connect the killing of an SP with burqa conspiracy?

Fact is that the SP got kidnapped and murdered in Afghanistan. How could this have happened without the Afghans knowing this?

Without a shred of a doubt, the SP's murder was orchestrated and facilitated from Afghanistan.

Hon Sir,

I am entitled to my opinion even if you disagree. There was no need for such a strong diatribe. You could simply disagree without condemning all those who hold a liberal view of Islam. I surprised that you ignored Allama Iqbal who stated "Deen-e Mulla fi sabillah fassaad".

I am sure that you are also aware of the fact that Islamic scholars differ on whether covering of face is obligatory, some believe that face can remain uncovered.

Coming back to the real subject; kindly elucidate how ISIS managed to kidnap & smuggle a senior police officer of the rank of Superintendent from Islamabad into Afghanistan without the active support of the local collaborators & covering his identity?

Also, do you deny that the news link that I posted was false and Awais Shah was not forced to wear a burqa to cover his identity and that Lal Masjid Mullah did not attempt to escape wearing a burqa?

Hon Sir,
I am simply saying that burqa can be and has been used to cover the identity of the kidnap victims. I am not denying the SP's kidnapping & murder was orchestrated from Afghanistan. But the kidnappers must have had support from the locals in Islamabad to succeed.

Putting all the blame on foreigners is an attempt to hide the incompetence of our security agencies.

.
The question is how did they managed to cross the border??? We hold the agencies and securing the border??

Also how they managed to get out of islbd??

You are entitled to an opinion, not a mass smearing of religion and religious people. My response was general, because today it is a general trend on this forum to vituperate religious people using the worst kind of abusive language. In this case, our liberal mullas are certainly trying to instigate unrest.

I am sure that you are also aware of the fact that Islamic scholars differ on whether covering of face is obligatory, some believe that face can remain uncovered.

Yes, I am perfectly aware of that. And the point is?

Coming back to the real subject; kindly elucidate how ISIS managed to kidnap & smuggle a senior police officer of the rank of Superintendent from Islamabad into Afghanistan without the active support of the local collaborators & covering his identity?

I am not privy to their plans. But you have now changed your question. In the above, you are asking me how they accomplished it 'without the active support of the local collaborators & covering his identity'. This is different from insinuating that 'it is not the victims who are at fault but the increasing conservative attitude of the society in general' and 'prevailing extremist mindset of the population enables the forces exploiting religious sentiments'.
For all we know, they might have an organic local presence. Or, they could have bought local help. Or the police officer could have dealings with them. In the presence of so many different possibilities, singling out 'local religious extremists' reeks of bias.

Also, do you deny that the news link that I posted was false and Awais Shah was not forced to wear a burqa to cover his identity and that Lal Masjid Mullah did not attempt to escape wearing a burqa?

No, I don't deny it. But I do insist that the burqah is not at fault here, incompetent and under resourced policing is.

.
Security gone lax...how come there is no footage on islabd safe city cameras??

.
  • How was he kidnapped from Islamabad of all places?
  • If he had been involved in operations against terrorists, why was his name made public? Why was he not given adequate security?
  • How did the terrorists sneak him out of Pakistan?
I dont understand this whole scenario.

It means there are terrorists still operating in the region with American blanket over them. America is there only as a status quo power to benefit from anarchy & create more of instability to invent reasons for its stay in the region.

.
I don't understand this at all. Why would anyone kill a Pakistani cop and unveil his body in Afghanistan? What is the possible motive?

. .
Islamabad is just like other cities.
Come on its not a heaven to save some one.

Every one is needed to be loyal with this country, so therefore we are able to create a heaven for themselves. [emoji516]

the poor officer was abducted from Islamabad and taken all the way back to Afghanistan tortured and killed

I don't understand this at all. Why would anyone kill a Pakistani cop and unveil his body in Afghanistan? What is the possible motive?
valid question but no possible answer without taking a pro or anti Pakistan side

to show lawlessness in Pakistan
to show how easy it is to move a person out of Pakistan at will
to show the power and reach of Afghanistan chapter of ISIS deep inside Pakistan
to expose the incompetence of Pakistan in protecting its very important officer who belonged to Waziristan and had been part of any operations against the terrorists
further degrade Pak Afghan relations when one thinks they cant get any worse.
I cant think of anything else.
