South China Sea: Philippines says Chinese vessels have left Scarborough Shoal following Duterte visi

There is unfair diplomacy in the past called by Chinese , Vietnam had paid (tribute ?) for that Chinese invaders were killed when Chinese invaded in to Vietnam's soil. In fact, there was gift from Vietnam Emperor to Emperor who is ruled Han Chinese in the past. But Vietnam is fully independent state when, in same time, huge amount of Han Chinese is ruled by foreigners like East Turkistan (Tang Dynasty) Mongolian (Yuan Dynasty), Tungus (Qing Dynasty) until 1912, who had invaded in to China from north. Dynasty China paid tribute to northerner kingdom too, before they had taken full control on you Han Chinese.

President Sun Zhongshan 孫中山 had just liberated you in the last century. Study more about China History before you can insult us with such idiot trolls.
Vietnamese so funny.
Why use the Chinese characters in Ancient Vietnamese?

Chinese Coast Guard ships are still seen guarding the disputed Scarborough Shoal, however, Filipinos are seen fishing there “unmolested” for the first time since 2012, on Sunday said Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.

A Philippine Navy plane have seen four Chinese Coast Guard ships, contradicting an initial report that the Chinese have left, Lorenzana said.

A group of Filipino fishermen recently returned from Scarborough with a bountiful catch. Fisherman Gila Bauya said the Chinese Coast Guard was there but ignored his group’s presence.

Lorenzana said the “most welcome development” is that Filipino fishermen had been allowed to freely enter and fish in the contested Panatag Shoal.

Last night, Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said “the Palace welcomes the good development for our fishermen at the Panatag Shoal.”

The development was also welcomed by senators, however, an opposition of alawmaker in the House of Representatives wanted Malacañang to disclose what President Duterte and Chinese President Xi Jinping had discussed about Scarborough Shoal that allowed Filipino fishermen to return to the rich fishing ground after years of being driven away by the Chinese Coast Guard.

Vietnam teach Chinese their own history? Tang Dynasty is xinjiang? So laughable. Talking about foreign rule? We ruled u for thousands of years, then you are a vasal state for the rest 1000 years. You have to read ur own history in Chinese. That is a fact

practical reason. consider this: if we don´t use chinese, how can we understand chinese books, reading chinese propaganda, communicate with Chinese emperors, able to speak with Chinese desperate legal and illegal Chinese refugees that came to Vietnam over centuries, seeking for food and shelter?

So Japanese, Korean is funny too.

Chinese character is innocent in our debate. When you would like to say that Vietnamese copied from you, I can say that the idea to use symbols characters to record languages, Chinese has copied this idea from Arabish.

Vietnam at that time was contributal state of China, Chinese had all rights of moving to Vietnam at any time.

China's jurisdiction over Huangyan Island unchanged: FM
(Xinhua) November 01, 2016

BEIJING, Oct. 31 -- China still exercises jurisdiction over Huangyan Island in the South China Sea, a spokesperson said Monday, following media reports that Chinese coast guard had recently allowed Philippine fishermen to fish nearby.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying told a regular news briefing that "the jurisdiction status will not change."

The China-Philippines relations have improved since President Rodrigo Duterte's visit earlier this month, Hua said.

"China has taken into account the situation and made some arrangements on issues of Duterte's interest for the good of the two countries' friendship," Hua added.

Beijing-Manila thaw helps Filipino fishermen return to Huangyan

Source:Global Times Published: 2016/10/31

The Philippines recently confirmed that its fishermen have returned to the Huangyan Island area and resumed fishing in the waters last week without being impeded by China. Manila said that no Chinese coast guard ship was seen there at first, but then corrected itself by noting that Chinese vessels were still there, yet had not made any moves toward countering the Philippine fishing boats. A turning point in the improvement in Beijing-Manila ties has been reflected in the South China Sea. Both China and the Philippines have made a pragmatic explanation over the new phenomenon. China has not stressed its effective jurisdiction over the waters while mentioning letting Philippine fishermen return to the area. The Philippines has not said a single word about the South China Sea arbitration. Both sides have only highlighted the current fact itself.

However, a US State Department spokesperson voiced that Washington hopes it is not a temporary measure, but a sign that China and the Philippines are moving toward an agreement on fishing access around the Huangyan Island in accordance with the July 12 arbitral award, as if the US is the only smart aleck in the situation.

Some Western media did not explain the current trend as a step toward improving the Sino-Philippine relationship, but described it as just a part of the struggles between Beijing and Manila.

It is clear from Chinese and Philippine policies that the South China Sea disputes have been set aside. Yet over the past weeks, the US and Japan have raised the arbitration award constantly, trying to put it in the mouths of Philippine officials. While Beijing and Manila are resolving the issue in a pragmatic way, Washington and Tokyo seem to be as worried as if the sky itself is crashing down.

Today's situation is quite funny. China has repeatedly pointed out that the South China Sea arbitration award is nothing but a piece of paper. The Philippines, which initiated the arbitration, has also turned silent. Meanwhile, the US and Japan, which have nothing to do with it, keep yakking on, much like when the main actors have exited the stage, but the orchestra keeps on stubbornly playing the music.

The fact that Philippine fishermen can now access the Huangyan Island is the result of the development of friendly cooperative ties between Beijing and Manila as well as an arrangement made after bilateral negotiations. It has nothing to do with the arbitration. This could not happen without Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's China visit. Philippine fishermen are well aware that they must thank Duterte's diplomatic charm and China's act of good faith, but definitely not the arbitration tribunal.

As world media later reported, many Chinese coast guard vessels are still in the waters. Everyone knows what their existence means.
