Only the 2007 coup had no blood letting. Otherwise, all our coups, counter coups and failed coups have a record of too many loss of military lives. It is many thousands.

If Newaz Sharif is revengeful, which I doubt, then Musharraf will be facing bad days in the future. Musharraf was responsible for the Kargil War to make Sharif look a weak PM. Then he staged the coup drama with the help of Kayani and others.

Hope, democracy will finally take strong root in Pakistan. Seems after the election Pakistan has stepped forward, and at present BD is 20 steps behind Pakistan only because SHW is destroying democracy here.

The Americans are worried that Bangladesh (being a big Muslim nation) might get cosy with the Chinese, in fact too cosy like Pakistan.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has given management of its Gwadar Port to China and the Chinese are going to use this to station their naval warships in the India Ocean. This will give them the ability to project their military might in both the Indian and the Arabian Oceans.

Tomorrow, Bangladesh is likely to follow this route as soon as they start seeing the security guarantees that Pakistan has gained out of this deal.

Now, you will also be aware that both Pakistan and Bangladesh have tens of thousands of troops stationed around the world under the United Nations flag. At the moment, this is something that's sponsored by the Americans - tomorrow it could be the Chinese.

Most importantly, out of the 22 Arab countries, only 3 of them have a bigger Nominal GDP than Pakistan which gives Pakistan a great influence in the Muslim world regardless how low the Pakistani GDP/Per Capita is in comparison to Arab countries. Soon, Muslim Bangladesh with its huge population will also reach this stage Insha'Allah. What this means is that when Pakistan's military services are required in the Muslim world by Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Egypt , tens of thousands of troops can be sent in any country at a very short notice and usually there's no hostility towards this (except Somalia in 1992).

Today, Pakistan has moved so far away from the Americans and instead has allied itself with the Chinese. The Americans feel they're going to lose Bangladesh this way as well if they don't pay any attention to it.

Now imagine two out of the three largest Muslim countries allied with China instead of the United States, what powerful that alliance would be?

Too many petitions have been pouring in to Secy Gen UN, Amnesty Int'l, ICC and ICRC, Geneva. UN means the Americans who have no reason to be happy with SHW.
