Some Notable People of East Bengal Ancestry

.
In Indian culture we inherit from and are grateful to the parent that brought us up ...sperm donation on its own is not enough.

Indians also are more akin to let people identify however they want to personally.

I have a close friend who is Gujarati (by his ancestry)....but he considers himself 100% Tamil.....speaks better Tamil than me too!

Who is indian bengali in this thread other than Amyarta and Tagore??

That's because you are consciously avoiding most of the really notable and famous Bengalis for obvious reasons. You have done this exercise previously and you know how the ratio would look like. Check those old threads that I have posted. :)

From this thread it seems all the pashcim banga legendary figures have origin in E Bengal. Never believed in eugenics :cheesy::cheesy:

You have to collect enough data in an unbiased manner to come to such a conclusion. However, in Bengali we have a saying, "Agune pure sona khati hoy" (Gold becomes pure after burning in fire)......and (you know why) the Indian Bengalis from East Bengal have burned through fire, walked through hell, and regained themselves after facing the unspeakable hardship and winning over it.......pains and sorrows sometimes brings out the best of human qualities.

Indian Bengalis are the closest thing we got to the concept of "jews" of India if you know what I mean....given what they had to strive through like you described and how they are spread everywhere across India more than any other ethnicity I know of.....doing good business, trade and culture :)

This is why I am not worried about any "exodus" from W.B region down the road.

Did you miss Satyendranath Bose, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose, Meghnath Saha, Prafulla Chandra Roy, etc. ?

Okay, I just noticed that you have quoted two of their names, and the notable and famous ones you are quoting, barring a couple of them, are not that notable and famous unless you are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

BTW, you have also missed the long list of freedom fighters, probably because they were not 'your' freedom fighters! :)

Nah I just mentioned internationally renowned personalities. I don't think anyone knows Pritilota Waddeder out of Bengal. Like the 1st one helped to develop f 15 and f16 engine.

By the standard of 'internationally renowned personalities' you are setting here, there would be millions like them around the world, and thousands, maybe lakhs from Bengal itself. At least set a standard by the list of important international awards they have won.

Not to put the guy down or anything...but there are many people that are involved in "developing" engines.

You have to be more specific about what this person did differently that led to something significant (like post a paper or thesis written by him etc.)

I could post a long list of what I have done in my company too....but it pales in comparison to the actual original fathers of aircraft engine development and notable scientists and researchers since.

I wish I knew :(

All I know is that she's a Chakma model and she has a sister.

Google your way out. You got the name. Google his patents and satisfy your thirst.
