As a Minister of Defence, it is Parrikar's job to make statements pertaining to national security without fear. Especially when PMs are involved. We should infact support his move to make even the PMs accountable.

And no, there won't be a debate after the names are revealed. They will be tried in court for treason.

Making such statement means nothing unless he has found out that some defence land has been denotified and sold to private companies for development by former PMs. I mean i expect seriousness on the matter at least from the minister.

It does mean a lot. A court case takes time. One has to prepare a chargesheet. Some posturing before the chargesheet helps the prosecution. Many witnesses become state witnesses and so on. Plus there is electoral gain. Like I said, he is doing his duty.

Not just MMS. Almost all Congress PMs never really cared about India's national security.

I disagree.MMS encouraged intel gathering but discourage covert ops.And Indira Gandhi was the true PM that created one hell of intel assets even in Kahutha .Rajiv Gandhi was also encouraged covert ops.

He said former PMs, for obvious reasons Parrikar would not raise a finger against former PM from BJP. So lets begin when it all started, and that brings Rajiv Gandhi and his bofors case to the fore. Next was Janta dal PM VP singh, but he was in power for a short period and so was Gawada. Then we 're left with Narsimha Rao and MMS, congress PMs ofcourse.
In short I named all the congress PMs from last 2-3 decades.

I have doubt @levina .Rajiv Gandhi was developed two covert groups that did a lot of godd thing for us.About rest I agree with you.

Its not amusing if he is doing this for electoral gains. It wont help build up the case also as the people involved will get alerted. Normally our intelligence and investigation agencies should have done the job secretly and taken the people involved to task and usual course of law.

For the unity in one party it should have a worthwhile opponent party.Still the main rival of BJP is Congress.Destruction of Congress is not good for nation and BJP.Because If Congress gone in hay wire regional parties will begin to intro duce their petty politics and not good BJP in long run.
And Modi is good politician that have some respect to opponents.

This comment by Manohar Parrikar is neither relevant nor in good taste. Its a vague statement that aims to achieve nothing. All decisions have pros and cons. So to say that the biggest harm was done by Vajpayee by doing Pokhran - II(debatable) that gave Pakistan an opportunity to deploy nuclear weapons. India could have avoided it as we had already conducted smiling buddha in 1974. Morarji Desai was labelled a CIA agent by an American writer and worst Morarji lost the defamation suit. what does that mean? Did Rajiv Gandhi compromised Indian security by sending IPKF to Sri Lanka or almost agreeing to withdraw from Siachin. did Lal Bahadur Shastri compromised in Tashkent Agreement or Indira Gandhi compromised in Simla Agreement? IK Gujaral went extra mile with our hostile neighbours with his "gujral doctrine" that may have undermined our security.
I think i agree with congress that Parrikar should not give immature statements and must reveal the name of the PM and let there be a debate.

It could be possible but then there shd be a discussion on pros and cons of gujral doctrine. Even the panchsheel doctrine of Nehru cost us Aksai chin, so to say. Intelligence failure in kargil can not be solely attributed to scrapping of RAW desk from Islamabad. Now looking back no defence analyst also could imagine about kargil whereas it was too obvious that pakistan was emboldened by nukes, mujahideen in kashmir, broken Soviet Union, mulla Omar in Afghanistan and pathetic economy of India. anyways thats another story.

Gujral ruled for one year .And our enemies took maximum advantage from us.That moron dismantled Pak desk and Pakistan created further S group for us .
Several years ago Gujral was came in to Alappuzha for traditional boat race as a visitor.
We were astonished by the way our govt welcomed our former PM more lika a Panchayat President .But later when I knows this facts I understand .If he didnt do that stupidity we would have been 1000 of soldiers and few peaks in our hands.

RAW and Mossad

It was 1950s when India gave permission to Israel to make a Consulate in Mumbai. There was no diplomatic Relationship because India supported Palestinian Cause.

R.N Kao , legendary spy master who was founder of RAW,India’s Foreign Intelligence was given the responsibility of developing silent diplomacy with Mossad. As a recent novel revealed that Special Arms from Tel Aviv were supplied to Mukti Bahani and Israel indeed helped India in 1971 war.

During 1971 ,Pakistan’s Foreign Minister visited North Korea which was threat to India. Israel had a fear that Pakistani Army officers are training Libyans and Iranians in handling Korean and Chinese Weapons.

Now, a mistake done in India is harmful to our agents anywhere in the world . Mistake happened when Morarji Desai then PM in 1977 called Zia Ul Haq,Pakistani Military Dictator and told him “General , i know what you are upto in Kahuta. RAW has given me all the details . And Pakistan wanted to keep Kahuta ,their Nuclear Capability a secret. In hurry, Zia Ul Haq checked all his network and our RAW agents lost their lives.

In 1967 , at Nepal Gen Moshe Dayan, the Warrior of Israel in Israeli-Arab war visited Nepal and he was expected to Indian Representatives. Islamabad feared this meeting was some joint Operation by RAW and Mossad to destroy their Kahuta dream.

Israel bombed the Iraq’s Nuclear Reactor in 1981 , Islamabad too had same worries. hence, in 1981 ISI planted surface to air missilies in Kahuta , they thought that Israel and India will strike anytime soon.

On the other hand , Israel is confidant of US felt nothing for Kahuta,as they feared Iraq and other Arab countries’ Nuclear programs.

In early 1990s , Israeli students starting visiting Kashmir, ISI feared that they were from Israeli Defence Forces who came to counter terrorists in Kashmir. Pakistan in desperation , did a terrorist attack and one Israeli was killed and one was kidnapped which was saved later. The killing of Israeli by terrorists shook Israel and Jews living in USA.

This led to embassy level relations between India and Israel in 1992 . Everyone was startled when Israeli Ambassador Mark Sofer to an interview in 2008 said that Israel helped India in turning around the situation in Kargil War . Israel helped Indian Army by providing the much needed imagery of Pakistani army positions . ‘We do have a defence relationship with India, which is no secret. What is secret is what the defence relationship is? And with all due respect, the secret part will remain secret.” said Mark Sofer in an interview to Outlook Magazine.

right now, Israel is the second biggest seller of weapons to India after big brother Russia . This relation is enough to send ISI in shock when required.

I don't think he talks about MMS, since the timeframe is clearly aimed on a far earlier stage. He is making a lot of polictical statements recently, which is not really helping. More interesting than political blame games are what changes he has in mind for DRDO or the DPP.
