The LGB does not carry a live warhead in tests like these so that there can be forensic
evidence of the CEP,as you can see, the bomb hit within 2-3 meters of the target.

If the bomb did carry an explosive, there would be nothing left of the target as well
anything in the explosion radius.

No it was done over land - otherwise how can the scientists gauge the exact distance from the target the
bomb fell? They do that by studying the crater, which wouldn't be there if the test was done over water.

that's probably the closest hit they could get pic from a dozen or more that were so far off from the target

Every guided weapon has a CEP (Circular error probability), now as the LGB does not have powered flight if it's launched a little far off from the target, then it cannot drastically change the trajectory and hit the bulls eye.

exactly ! paveway 2 has a CEP of 3.6 feet on average ( that is some test more and some less ) ! Actually all of the critics expect us to have 0 cep , not their fault though !

But if you see the picture that eowyn posted the bomb was coming straight to target but exploded away from it .

If it had powered flight, then it would have definitely hit the target. There's a limit to what extent a LGB can steer in a free fall. That's why many modern LGB has terminal powered trajectory.

But not to worry, if there was personnel around the area, they'd have been dead by the shrapnel and blast energy. And as it seems, the LGB didn't had any explosives, as there wasn't any fireball. Only dusts because of the kinetic energy of the bomb.

Already micro tavors are being used by special forces so will MSMC even considered for induction. Any foreign lobby going on which restricting purchase of local small arms?

MSMC is for CAPFs like CRPF, CISF, etc. and also some Army units.

As per PK Sengupta, on whose blog this OP is based, says that trials of MSMC have been largely successful
and the gun is set for induction into such CAPFs in very large numbers.
