Skilled Indians face a 70-year green card wait

I agree but one thing I am glad is that we are not known for terror attacks or radical preaching or hating USA while living in USA. Our people respect the laws of the country they stay in and that is why Indians are much more preferred alongside Chinese and east Asians, who contribute significantly to their economies rather than come on asylum status and create ruckus.

Congratulations to my enemy on completing 3000 posts.

Yea but I think the article suggests the higher the population of a country the longer the wait?

By establishing that fewer than 3,000 Indians are permitted green cards annually in the employment based third preference (EB-3) and estimating a backlog of 210,000 among Indian professionals in the category, the report is able to conclude an Indian sponsored today could wait 70 years for a green card.

Its not on the population but number of skilled immigrants applying. Mexico and Phillipines also figure as separate categories.

The report is a blown up numbers juggle to spur the lawmakers into action.

Reason? They want more skilled Indians to immigrate. It's laughable when people make it out to be anti-Indian when it asks for more Indians to immigrate.

One could easily look at Immigration website to make out wait times for Indians under each category.
