Don't forget Indian media often makes ridiculous claims and overstates its military achievements against insurgents; given how large their public is and how retardedly it reacts to any news of killings I guess it's logical India comes up with BS like '5000 terrorists killed in Nagaland' etc.

More like the speaker of the parliament doesn't really need to be informed of such things given that the ISPR already publishes photos/personal details of the martyrs and handles their family pension etc. I wonder if Pakistan will come up with a cringe worthy fairytale the likes of 'surgical strike' one day as opposed to regularly posting videos of Indian bunkers it destroys.

So the upper house of parliament ie government need not know how many soldiers died on LoC? It was just stats!

In most of the countries I lived, the Army serves the government and people and not the other way round.
