The Toyota Hilux has gained its reputation and popularity as an armored pickup truck due to robustness, good performance characteristics and various engine types and sizes. Mostly widely known as a work truck, the Hilux could be used for much more than that. IAG has created a tactical version of the armored Hilux for clients looking for reliability, manoeuvrability and an economical alternative to the larger Armored Personnel Carriers. The Tactical Armored Hilux Patrol Truck can be configured for small troop transport inside the custom build box in the rear of the vehicle. There are various seating configurations available, as well as, many communication devices. The optional rotational turret at the top allows the crew to perform defensive actions when needed. Whether it is for border patrol or security escort, the IAG armored Toyota Hilux patrol truck provides great ballistic and blast protection coupled with immense off-road capabilities.

Please note that certain configurations are restricted to law enforcement or military only.

LEVEL OF PROTECTION Up to CEN B6, B6+
NIJ Level III
ENGINE 2.5L I4 Diesel (100hp/192lb-ft)

SEATING CAPACITY Up to 9

Not being a armchair general but, we need to train FC to react to ambush properly. You see there is MG-3 mounted on vehicle. Only a short burst was fired a whole time. Why not lay some hell down range and give them taste of their own medicine.

Because the incoming fire is from multiple directions. Assailants are 8-10 in strength and a single MG cannot respond at all. While shooting at one direction, a rebel from another mountain will take the shot. He had no option but to find cover in a hopeless situation.

Nothing could save them except an APC or MRAV.

They're still useless, Sir. They won't stand a chance against IED. They'll be instantly destroyed and flip, as they don't carry enough weight to sustain the impact.

More then MRAPS
More then what vehicle we use
What we carry
What we do

We need fencing of the border ASAP

A fence, a trench and border control will go a long long way to ending this

Alteast they have enough protection from automatic fire.
IED is old stuff now , all these terrorist are interlinked and they learn all these tactics during first afghan war.
Zarb-i-Azb: More IED factories, explosives recovered in NWA

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ‎,

How much will we have to wait for MRAP / APC ?

From Automatic fire, yes. They won't get stuck in between. There are a lot of such options but again, those who make such decisions aren't interested as they're covered enough in their BMWs.

well, may be they take this incidence a routine outcome during patrolling.
Need this now ...

The APC will come one day, maybe the MRAPs as well however the total silence of PA on death of fellow soldiers is worrisome. An American general will issue the stern warning to his adversaries if one of his soldiers dies, Same goes for British. India armed forces have been issuing all kind of threats on the deaths of their soldiers however we haven't even warned anyone yet. Iran is playing the double game without any repercussions and Indians are doing whatever they can to exploit their NDS and Baluch contacts. This is high time that COAS/ISPR makes ruckus that no such death will go unpunished beyond our borders.

Because the population of the country is shielded from terrorists like BLA no one is concerned

This is the problem

Amongst defence enthusiasts this is of course a hot topic due to loss of FC

But because it happens so far from any major population in the middle of nowhere in the mountains or waste lands of Iran border

It's like it's non existent and pressure needs to be put on politicians and army to up the game
Because at the moment the war plan is to counter hit our enemies where we see them hit and killed by our forces including target attacks in Afghanistan

This is dealable through better equipment
A border fence
And a continuation of our target killings of terrorist and handlers

For some reason we take the silent approach

We don't make any noise and then we target back

If I may ask, how many of the members here had actually been inside an Armored vehicle or had one on their motor pool....the reason i ask is you don't know about the problems coming with an Armored vehicle.....have experience with V8 & Toyota Hilux armored level B6 on our motorcade, if those vehicles can give you nightmares, i wonder what an MRAP would bring

Sir can you post the link?

How unfortunate that the DG couldn't give at least a press release from his official twitter handle - something that can be done for injured civvies at LC but not for dead servicemen in NWA & BLN. The harsh truth is that awaam doesn't care much & hence the higher authorities can buzz off without questioning. For them troops are sacrificial lambs - you'll see a small news report on these men in tomorrow's newspaper, and that'll be it. The harsh truth of how we don't care for our fallen. Applies to all echelons of society.

I am amazed at the complete silence of PTI led government. Never in my wildest dreams had i imagined this sort of poor response from a man that i thought was of character. We lost 15 brave men within a month. Other nations would had gone to war, we cant even protest properly, cant call in an emergency UN session and ask members to declare all Baloch liberation organisations as terrorists, and build a case against India which is actively supporting these terrorists.
Army chief is absent, no coverage by the media, as if those men never mattered. This is sad and pathetic and no amount of words can express the anger that at least i have right now at the moment and the utter disgust i now have for Bajwa and PM Khan.

Nurol Makina was founded in 1976 to deliver turnkey industrial plants and perform large scale contracting regarding steel construction and machinery production. The company has started its activities in the field of defense industry after the establishment of the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) in Turkey. It built its facilities at Sincan, Ankara Industrial Zone in 1992.

The Ejder Yalcin is a 4x4 wheeled tactical armored combat vehicle. Its hull is of all-welded steel armor construction that provides ballistic protection against firing of small arms and shell splinters. The vehicle is based on monocoque structures with integrated V-shaped armored hull that increase vehicle and crew survivability by deflecting an upward directed blast from a landmine or Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) away from the vehicle, while also presenting a sloped armor face.

The Ejder Yalcin is motorized with a Cummins Diesel engine developing 300 hp at 3,100 rpm, coupled to a fully automatic transmission with hydrodynamic torque converter. The vehicle can reach 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 600 km.

John Craig, Executive Chairman of Paramount Land Systems Group, stated, “The Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the importance of security of supply during a global emergency. Now more than ever, governments are looking at the indigenization of industrial capabilities in a bid to reduce exposure to global market volatility and uncertainty. The portable manufacturing model that we have pioneered is designed for the creation of local manufacturing capabilities, anywhere in the world. This model has thrived in Kazakhstan, where we have established a localized hub for indigenous, high-tech manufacturing and high-skills training that has enhanced job creation while supporting the defense capabilities of the nation for future decades.

“Our Team at Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering is continuing their steadfast and rapid production of advanced land systems technologies that excel in the extreme conditions and complex requirements of the region. Having been in operation with the Kazakh Armed Forces for more than three years, the Arlan has been tried and tested, and proven for its outstanding protection, ruggedness and mobility,” Craig said.

Introduced during KADEX 2016, the Arlan Reconnaissance Patrol vehicle was designed in cooperation with Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP, which added new reconnaissance systems as well as a Stabilized Advanced Remote Weapon Platform (SARP) remote-controlled turret.

The Arlan 4x4 Armored Vehicle is based on the Marauder mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle produced by Paramount Group, located in South Africa. It has undergone testing in extreme conditions and environments across Kazakhstan; its continued winterization includes a new liquid heating system for the all-season-accommodating cabin (hosting a range of 100 degrees Celsius, from minus 50 to plus 50 Degrees Celsius).
