Singapore married man raped Indonesian maid repeatedly

. . . .
Oops, looks like they changed the law this year during Feb...

You still got it wrong. It was always legal through a licensed based system. The new changes de-criminalize for un-licenses work e.g. street hookers.

Here is a text from your link.

In Victoria, sex work is currently regulated under a legalised model, which means sex work is only legal if it takes place under certain conditions set out in the Sex Work Act 1994.
The licensing system is outdated and difficult to navigate for those trying to work within it.
Those without a licence, or those practising street-based sex work, are breaking the law and therefore do not have access to basic rights and entitlements.

Sounds cruel when these changes are made during economic downturn, clearly to allow more women to survive this way.

dude, notice I have separated "Brothel" and "Prostitution"

Sex Tourism is okay AS LONG AS both parties consented to the sex and are within the guidance of the law. Ie did not contradict with human trafficking act or brothel act (or pimp act)

Here in New South Wales, Australia, Prostitution is legal and so did brothel, and we have quite a Sexual Tourism here in NSW from other State in the country (Prostitution is only legalised in 5 states, Victoria, South Australia are not legal) and other countries.

In most country, street worker IS prostitution, brothel worker is an escort or companion service, while both do money in exchange for sex, brothel are usually more organised and offer a wider range of service (like girlfriend experience, or wife experience, or even p0rnstar experience) and street work or home base sex worker are less organised and mostly just for sex.

I didn't get that wrong, you either misread or you think both street worker and brothel are the same, which most people do tend to think that way..
