Still virus need a media, cannot just fly alone in air then land on something.

The "airborne contagion" means the virus is living on the aerosol particles where the aerosol particles are airborne.
The aerosol particles where the virus cling on is still bigger than the N95 mask pore; that means the mask is still effective.
