Singapore delivers phase 1 of masterplan for new capital city for India's Andhra Pradesh

That's awesome!

CBN needs to use his territory for solar power generation as well. Andhra is so hot that it could easily be power-surplus on its own in a matter of a few years. I once went to Vijaywada in summer. For a pahadi like me, it was like furnace. :P

We'll have to ask our CM to get Switzerland to make a smart city plan in Sikkim. That's the closest country to our terrain with super infrastructure.

He is a respected man even among his opponents from the little politics of that state that I understand. A down-to-earth attitude with a serious business-minded mentality is what helped him develop Andhra Pradesh (ruined by YSR and his son).

Giving him the charge of the state again and his and PM Modi's mental alignment on the same plane means that Andhra's #AchheDin are in. The state has already been chosen to be the first pilot project testbed for 24x7 power supply. If the pet project is successful, it will pull dozens of industries out of the high tech Tamil Nadu, which dominates India's automotive, technical and industrial manufacturing and textile sector.

TN politicians should focus on development rather than self-glorification and needless extravaganza.

indeed , i was watching a documentary on lee kuan yew how that man transformed a third world country within 30 yrs and i can draw the similarity between him and indian politicians like modi and CBN .

you are absolutely right about tn politics.

i find TN politicians only doing dramabazi , fooling people with all this tamil pride & dravidian bs , crying like idiots when their corrupt leader(jaylalitha) gets arrested , blackmailing when in coalition & looting the national exchequer when in power & while out of power whine about lanka arresting TN fishermen , they think people of india & TN are fools. I just hope those DMK criminals never get back to power.

.
It seems Andra will have a bright future.

Absolutely love the name of the new Capital.

its never going to happen until the top leaders expire, in TN only Tamil language rules, it was the first state in India which fought against casteism and DMK was the party which propagated athism but it the only state where every caste has its own political outfit and the national parties do not have chance here, these parties have changed the psyche of the people of TN i n a way that they can only hear and listen only AMMA or kalaignar

To me as an outsider, both these TN parties seem like the 2 sides of the same coin.

They both exploit the simplicity and good faith of the people of their state and cheat them; like UP.

No sir UP is a shit hole but TN is a much much developed state you should see the roads and education institutions and many more these two parties do exploit the people but they have the tamil pride which ever party supports the centre they bring the money and invest in the state so this is a win win situation, unlike Karnataka which always selects a national party which will be always busy doing chamchagiri to the central leadership

I don't know which party can fix UP but the regional ones like SP, BSP, JD, RJD crap sure needs to go!

. .
Uttar Pradesh should be next to be divided into 4 states. UP by its self has more people than Pakistan. The Cow belt Hindi BIMARU states need better administration.

The problem is not division.

The problem is mentality of a state. UP is one of the most gifted and resource rich states of India. The problem comes because of the typical mentality of UPites living in UP. Sad to say this but they just don't want to progress and work. They're intelligent but won't use their intelligence positively. The political parties that rule them don't come from Mars. They are a part of the same people that live in that state and have come out of them.

I have been to cities like Kanpur, Aligarh and Gorakhpur where they are still decades behind cities like Baroda, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and even towns in my state.

They focus too much on politics rather than on better working and benefitting their state. Also, there is so much negative competition in their state that even those who are good and want to do good work don't get any opportunity to perform.

I don't know which party can fix UP but the regional ones like SP, BSP, JD, RJD crap sure needs to go!

Honestly, the only good regional parties that actually I have seen do something for their people is my state party Sikkim Democratic Party, Odisha's BJD and CBN's party for Andhra. Rest are simply power hungry satraps sitting on piles of resources and trying to be kings.

.
Imagine if atleast half the states had such pragmatic leadership, nothing could've kept us down

its already happening bro..in the last decade india has come out with some really good chief ministers

shivraj singh chauhan
Raman singh
nitish kumar ( i use to admire him when he has his head in place , my dad use to say he was a very good railway
minister , he gave bihar a hope , i wish he hadn't become greedy)
manohar parrikar

and many more

next gen politicians in india should idolize modi , CBN , narasimha rao and follow their path of good governance ...how many of our people even know about the great work that PVN did in 5 yrs , all they read about is nehru and the gandhis.

I mean the general political mentality. Mind you; except for language, the political mentality is very very similar.

I have been to TN to visit a friend. The people are very polite and respectful; food is mind blowing, and people are very educated. But they cannot control their state politics.

Having pride in one's state should be translated into something constructive.

Not treating local parties like gods.

Constructive is what was done in Gujarat, Andhra, Odisha etc where people used positivity to actually do something about the state.

TN is one of the most industrialised states and in fact could become India's richest and technology powerhouse but infrastructure is badly falling behind than what it used to be in 90s and 80s.

Power, roads, cost of living etc are falling behind due to nonsensical politics between the duo-polist state parties.

I remember reading reports of many industries shifting to Andhra due to political problems in TN.

i know the Tamils and mallus through my soul, Andhra has a long long way to go, chennai has bocome congested and waterscarse, you cannot beat a Tamil while arguing about their language, they are very much self boasting, in a way it is helping them

Man, language is a different thing. That's nothing to do with development. You're talking like national parties don't have TN people, while some of the most successful and prominent leaders have been from TN state even in those parties.

I was referring to something else.

.
yes sir,i agree many national parties have leaders from the state but those national parties cannot win elections in the state, only in tamil nadu language and development is interlinked, but the neighboring states language dosnt matter, and because of their tamil pride all the politisians, what ever they do, they bring money and invest in the state

I remember reading reports of many industries shifting to Andhra due to political problems in TN.
last week one of our client told us that he is not interested to invest in TN because even after paying money to political party , he not sure work will done ( he has to pay to both major party and local leader differently).

Thanks for quoting me here :)

Surbana International Consultants are the best when it comes to City planning, they have numerous projects running in Malaysia and China.

If Im not wrong the Sri Lanka port city is planned by Surbana and If I'm not wrong Jurong International planned and developed kranji golf course in Singapore.

So your state is in good hands but its upto ur country's leadership to make those planning a working reality :)

Don't worry my Country has a brilliant & Hard-working PM & my State a capable & excellent tech-savvy CM.

& yes he wanted to come to Singapore, but the MEA didn't allow him..

"Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s plan to go to Singapore to pay tributes to the mortal remains of the first prime minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, who had died two days ago, was foiled by the Centre. According to sources, the external affairs ministry turned down Naidu’s request for allowing him to go to Singapore. As prime minister Narendra Modi is attending the funeral of Lee Kuan Yew to be held on March 29, the Centre told the AP government that it could not permit Naidu to visit Singapore. With the Centre rejecting his plea for visiting Singapore, Naidu sent another request to the Centre to allow him to attend the funeral as part of Modi’s delegation."
