It is completely different. In fact, what hindoos do is a cardinal sin to us. Worshiping images of gods (idolatry), worshiping multiple gods (polytheism), practicing caste or sexual discrimination, untouchablehood. All these are huge sins for us. hindoos claim everything is a branch of hindooism. They claim Buddhism and Jainism are too. In fact these hindoos claim Jesus and Mohammed were avataars of bishnoo.

It may be norm today, but may be aware of the fact that Guru Arjan Deb himself installed shaligram (Vishnu Idol) in Harmandir Sahib which stood there till 1923 before it was thrown out by Akali Sikhs.

Fist correct yourself, its called a deity, not an idol. Both are totally different things

Second shaligram is not an idol or deity. They are specialized naturally formed rocks found only on the banks of the river Kali Gandaki in Nepal. The Shaligram Shila is the representation of VIshnu.

I must say what sh1t load of garbage in the thread above....Sikhism is a way of living and Guru Nanak Dev Ji was its creator(obviously at the behest of Akal Purakh)....Guru Gobind Singh ji only gave it look and feel and made it even more obvious. Dashmesh pita like all the guru's have always followed the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji...

Because they are attacking our faith. This is how they will destroy our religion. The uneducated Sikhs will no longer see a distinction and just like in the dakkus in the video, they will no longer differentiate. It's a very serious implication what these hindoos are doing.
