What's new

Siachen was accepted as Indian Territory in 1949!

Plus the Strategic importance of our posts in Siachin is that instead carrying out direct operation in Siachen you were left with one choice to cut national highway 1 of India linking Kashmir to Siachin. Plus there is big debate going on the strategic importance of Siachin on other threads. But the longest glacier is with Indian control

Oh bacha , do you even have a brain? Jab baray apko koi baat samjhain to aqal se sun laini chahiye...apni yavlian nahi marni chahiye..you look stupid...

Here in the forum , one of the Indian members (He is a Professional...means he ACTUALLY worked with Indian military programs etc) have explained this to other jingoistic bharti childs that there is NO strategic importance of Siachen. Pakistan could N E V E R have cross whole Siachen glacier just to threaten your highways or something. Actually , Siachen is inhospitable .. Thanks to you , Our generals made Siachen an excuse and launched a brilliant tactical strike at Kargil. You do remember how India was caught by its nerve by Pakistan Army , in the initial days of the war? But yeah , your Air Force got involved and all that..but but but...we STILL hold the highest point in Kargil sector , point 5353 , and our artillery can still bomb the heck out of your NH-1 ...You see , your Army's stupidity at Siachen gave us an excuse and now Pakistan has a STRATEGIC advantage over India due to point 5353 .... Pakistan Army holds the most strategically important areas of Kashmir (Gilgit-Baltistan , Skardu) and now it has whole brigade deployed there to defend these lands (Remember , we have access to Central Asia through Wakhan...thanks to our Azad Kashmir region , which give us this huge strategic leverage..) .. Now after this stupidities of your childish military ...the defence of Kashmir is ever STRONGER! We have highest points infront of your supply lines ... We have Gyong La pass which blocks your military at the top of freezing hell. We have an Air base at Skardu now ...at which F-16s loaded with AIM 120C can be deployed..We have a full brigade deployed in Azad Kashmir to tackle any problem from India..

So all in all ...all this Kargil , Siachen conflicts etc have benefited Pakistan Army immensely! It has also given us an strategic advantage over you.

So in terms of strategics and geopolitics .... Pakistan Army comes out to be only victor !!!

Please don't embarrass yourself by saying " We won Kargil ..we got this at Siachen...we dash dash dash" ... All this bullshit have been discussed and debunked on this very forum again and again...I am trying to make another point here..See if you can catch that...

Pakistan holds only one post, gyong La in the whole region and which is under Indian range of fire.

:rofl::rofl:

See that is what I am talking about. People who are not qualified to talk about something should stay quite..or go to low-quality bharat-ratsh!t forums. This is an international forum with high reputation....unlike bharti forums... so please drink water and do your homework.

Pakistan holds only one post, gyong La in the whole region and which is under Indian range of fire. I do not know what Part of Siachen except for just ONe post that too in the outer ridges you have? LOL

After kargil what happened with Pakistan's diplomacy is not something plausible. and Bombing NH1 would not give you a piece of cake any more. After kargil things have changed. Holding just one post gyong la well within Indian range is useless.
The strategic value of Siachin lies well within the sketching of LoC. There is no official recognition of LOC in that region till now so who ever captures first, land belongs to that party.

Crap ! Possibly you haven't heard of Chumik , Alibrangsa , Conway Saddle , Goma , and Gayari besides Gyong La ? :azn: Not every single place is named on the map , is it ? ... There might be a reason why we control 1/3 of it still as verified by International sources , huh ? How do you know it is within the firing range of IA ? Were you briefed by the top brass ?

Really ? You are stopping our water from Siachin ? Talking randomly , kiddo ?

Why the hell are you then debating on things on which you have no knowledge ? ... You know nothing what Pakistan controls and still increasing your post count by going round and round in circles , aren't you ? What happened after Kargil is not the point of debate here ... The only reason Peak 5353 was mentioned because you inquired about it ... Be on topic ... The only strategic value of Siachin is the land , you mean ? WOW !

If Siachin is so Inhospitable and of No strategic value, why don't your leader pull out Military from that region? Why would you wait for India and have secretary level talks in Islamabad. This sounds totally absurd. :P

And you are comparing 1:3 military positions in Siachin along with a full fledged India's Air base. Giving example of peak 5353 after getting thrown our from Kargil and Drass. haha What kind of logic you people use I do not understand this.:hitwall:

and I do not know what kind of strategic value you acquired after Kargil, except for a failed diplomacy. In return you gave us an excellent stock market, better motive to become offensive, make intel stronger,go for arms deal, etc etc...

Why should they ? :azn: PA is just doing its job guarding the frontiers , they already checkmated the IA positions by capturing Gyong La in '84 as admitted by the most biased of your military experts ... You do not threaten us , none can come down and fight ... Doesn't matter if it is of strategic value or not , it is the border and hence our army is there ... See , how ridiculous your argument becomes ? Why would we allow India for further misadventure by pulling out first from Siachin ? :azn:

What are 1:3 military positions btw ? Some new Indian logic ?

the biggest strategic value is that there is no border. the Loc ends or starts at point NJ9842

If you are being so much excited just because you have 1 military post gyong la,in that region then let me tell you we operate an air base. Along with 2 other forward posts.:bunny:

Just because you jumped to the 5th page without even understanding what the article was all about , doesn't mean it was us who got excited by controlling " a no man's land " since '84 :azn:

Check now , who wrote the crap article full of inaccurate details , kid !

.
Even we will not give u one inch in siachin, better u start counting days
You will not give India one inch of Siachen? :woot:  You can only give what you possess! :whistle:And you don't possess the Siachen Glacier. You guys are nowhere near it!! The Pak Army is 5 to 7 km West of the Soltoro Ridge which lies between the Pakistani positions and Siachen (which is to the East of the Ridge).

Here's a map for ignoramuses like you who seem to know zilch about the area. Study it well:

So don't just keep shooting from the hip when you know squat about the deployment there.

dude the biggest point is there is no LOC. But since India claims the whole of J and K, any further presence of Pakistan will not be tolerated.

This is the only point , there is no LOC, who ever enters first.. the land goes to them.

Orion you must explain to all these International and Indian sources , Why do they think Pakistan still administers 1/3rd of the Glacier ! :azn: Possibly , they know better than you ? We are no where near it but hey we still control one of its three major passes effectively checkmating the Indian positions :P

Presently India holds two-thirds of the glacier and commands two of the three passes including the highest motorable pass – Khardungla Pass. Pakistan controls Gyong La pass that overlooks the Shyok and Nubra river Valley and India`s access to Leh district. India spends more than Rs 5 cr a day to maintain the 76 km glacier, 2/3rd of which is under Indian control. Pakistan, which controls the rest of the glacier, spends less than half of what India does. Only if you cared to scroll the thread before desperately jumping on the bandwagon ! :azn: You would have seen not only International but also Indian sources put it as 2/3rd and not full area !

You talk as if there's no army on the other side  ...

You talk as if there's no army on the other side  ...

the problem is here:
The Siachin glacier's melting waters are the main source of the Nubra River in the Indian region of Ladakh, which drains into the Shyok River. The Shyok in turn joins the 3000 kilometer-long Indus River which flows through Pakistan. Thus, the glacier is a major source of the Indus[13] and feeds the largest irrigation system in the world.[14]

Pakistan cannot see this under Indian control. LOL :bunny:

^^ Keep jumping around ! ... I have told you before , we have the highest number of glaciers outside polar regions ... But of course you are showing your incapability to debate rationally here ...

Think you can build a dam at the top of that frozen hell ? :azn: Have you seen where the Shyok river enters Pakistan from ?

we do have dams in that region and Pakistan is blaming India for stopping water which is absurd.

did i quote siachin any where lol .. exposing your misconceptions??? :P
