Should we have the nuclear botton. The Ultimate device that determine our power and great loss. As Oppenheimer said "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds".

Turkey can't get nuclear bomb without seriously pissing off US. USA is already pissed off with Iran, and if Turkey trys to... But I don't think there is nuclear energy university in Turkey

Agreed they can go try but it won't be a good idea. Also if they do they better not expect Pakistan to help them.

There are many state of the art universities teaching Nuclear physics and engineering in Turkey. You'll be surprised at the size of campuses and the scientific equipment at hand - All are staffed with some of the best minds of Turkey / Europe and the US of A.

Buddy, Turkey doesn't need anyones help. They have the biggest help that anyone may ever need. Cash...more cash...even more cash... **** loads of even more cash to spend.

Fact: 2010 budget of Istanbul police was bigger thane the combined budget of: All Pakistan armed forces + Police + Rangers.......

plus turkey is a nato/european pawn, any nato pawn cant have the dream to be a nuclear power esp a muslim pawn

Turkey has about 60 nuclear warheads with their delivery systems in the hands of the Turkish armed Forces, ready for deployment, as a gratitude from the US and NATO, and it seems that turkey has decided to hold on to them indefinitely.
Today, Turkey is more interested in civilian nuclear energy than the atomic bomb which it has; at least 60 of the most sophisticated ones with dial a yield system.

you should have also included airforce + navy

any evidence to support your fact??

second thing if its indeed true then hats off to our military who makes one of the worlds biggest armies out of as low budget as istanbul police, hats off to their efficiency

Yups. True. Forgot about Incirlik!

Istanbul police budget is $6 billion... Pakistan Armed forces is $7 billion and then I didn't count the Rangers, and the police budget

DEFENITELY WE SHOULD BUT NOT NOW , WHEN WE ARE STRONGER , WHEN OUR MUSCLES GROW SO MUCH THE T-SHIRT STARTS TO FIND IT DIFFICULT AND EVENTUALLY IT RIPS , WHEN WE GET STRONG ENOUGH ( INSHALLAH) THEN WE WILL.

Wouldnt Pakistan help?

What is your anti-turk problems ? what did turks do to you or your country ?

You got me... Let's add the Belediye budget of Istanbul along with the police budget and it will beat combined budget of Pakistan armed forces, hands down!

By the way rangers and police, generally come under the same budget umbrella in Pakistan, don't they?

Inshallah Turkey will be another nucleur muslim power like pakistan , pakistan acted like a big brother and opened a path , but we should only get it when we are very strong economically and defence industry , then nuke is inevatable.

Personally i would prefer a turkey can sanction anyone like UK instead of nuclear warheads , with powerful economicy there comes shiny military toys , higher education and living standarts for citizens(therefore minus terrorism/petty crimes). When a hostile country sanctioned living standarts drops , crime rates increases , youth started to be rebellious and finally people start to blame their own government for enemy's sanctions while infighting/chaos burn whole country.Economic sanction and lobbying power better, painful and cruel than any nuclear warheads out there. :chilli:

What is your source? Besides the true number or amount of Pakistan's military budget is known the publicly stated figure is $5.8 billion for the 2012-2013 fiscal year, in actuality it is expected to be higher than that, some reports I have read suggested ~$6 billion+ (That's Army, Air Force, and Navy). With additional funds from US the figure is boosted up by billions more, we could easily be having $10+ billion in actual spending (just my own thoughts).

Money helps so you can acquire resources, but it isn't a major determinant whether a nation can develop nuclear weapons or not, Iran is an oil-rich state and has been developing for decades and hasn't achieved final success (although they have made progress). Also look at North Korea a very impoverished nation with dedication and defiance managed to go nuclear, of course with assistance but nonetheless their own effort was important.

That is good, but teaching nuclear physics and engineering isn't going to provide anyone with mastery of how to develop and engineer nuclear weapons, the actual know-how is more complicated, as if Universities have knowledge on how to develop nuclear weapons systems.

As for Turkiye developing nuclear weapons, I personally don't think it's a necessity for them to do so, it will certainly create international troubles and pressures, perhaps even sanctions and isolation, even for a NATO state such as Turkiye. Unless, US were to give approval for a nuclear program with Turkiye (civil, non-weaponized) then that is one way Turkiye may acquire nuclear technology, but not weaponry.

You're talking about the nukes of the nuclear umbrella of the NATO correct? If so, then Turkey can't use these unless they're given permission from uncle Sam.
