Pakistan is facing hostilities along the border with India, Afghanistan and uncertainty along the Iranian frontier. Should Pakistan adopt a policy to make military service mandatory for all abled citizens? India has the NCC in place attracting young academic students to participate in millitery warefare and discipline. Pakistan abolished its NCC under former Gen Musharaf. Another such example of hiring and training men during war time was by the Serb forces during the breakup of Yogoslavia. Tough street fighters from the Red Star Belgrade football club were recruited and trained in military warefare. From a disorganised football hooligan army to a ruthless, well organised militia. Should Pakistan start initiating military training for citizens which would be tightly controlled and guarded by the army with no interference of religion, ethnic/ tribal, language & political loyalties? Army is itself very choosy while selecting officers. Load of useless criteria at ISSB which makes no sense at all. So making mandatory service for every citizen will be least interesting topic for the ARmy. But it should be mandatory.

Should speak with the Turks as they have compulsory military training in place.

elaborate please

Group Planning makes no sense. This is a very old procedure being still used since British Colonial Selection System.

Instead there should be a specific situation written for all the candidates and they should ask for a written plan accordingly by every candidate. Gathering 8 guys over a model situation and asking them to discuss is useless. All the Armies except Bangladeshi and Indian since they've ISSB too, use the procedure I mentioned above. That's the best way to know anyone's natural source of countering the situation. Now let's take the command task, different task for each candidates. Some of the pals get an easier one while some of them get most difficult task to command their team in.

The problem is that we're not willing to move on from the system we received by Britons. Including Police Culture, Selection Culture and etc..

i agree every man and women after inter should be given 1 year military training why only afew have to go through ragra?
During the US invasion of Iraq the Iraqi citizens had very little military training or experience and were sent to the front lines to fight the US army. Many of the citizens didn't know how to load a gun.

we already have militancy so much in our country now you want to train these zombies with arms ? her shakhs yahan bawla hoa phirta hai wesy hi .
Training not arming citizens! I also stated free from religion, tribal ethnic loyalties. What is wrong with initiating military training for citizens incase they are needed during war times?

what they teach us is that Selection is not based on whether a candidate complete his task or not the purpose is to see how much a candidate takes interest in his task and how he makes a plan and leads his subordinates
similarly, Military planning is also important only those volunteer for briefing who are confident about themselves

Yes, none of the task is required to get totally completed but that's a very oudated way to monitor the potential. If you're talking about confidence and the one who comes up with an idea is confident. What if there are 4 confident guys out of 8? Who's gonna brief it in the end? That's why it no longer works. ARmy is not looking for a super confident lad. They're not gonna hire him for modeling. It's their job to build him as required at the PMA.

you may dont know we already have gun culture and people here proudly pose with guns like a peace of wood and metal is really achievement . giving them training is like fueling weapons and torture more .

I am not too sure. I failed ISSB once then made some corrections to the things i thought i did wrong and passed the next time. Nothing they wanted to see in me was useless or unnecessary.

A big no, army should only be for those folks who want to DO it as a PROFESSION. Period.
Noonay , Peepay and GCSE kids should be sent to waziriatsan for a month , then we will see how much they can rubbish the army after doing it themselves.

ISSB system is outdated. Still the same procedures are being used which were there in 1950s. Other Armies aren't fool to update their procedures. Only PA IA and BA use this.
