Should China accept NATO's invitation to join them in Afghanistan?

Why should China send forces in grave yard of empires.NATO and America started it and they also must end it.Why ask China?.And by the way i don't think China is like west interfering in other's matters. And how those Europeans can ask for Chinese help when they won't sell you anything and have sanctions.

Since the beginning of the last year the Obama administration has been quietly encouraging Beijing to become engaged in Afghanistan by sending military police to train Afghan soldiers.

During Obama's visit to China, both Hu Jintao and Obama discussed issues related to Afghanistan. Obama clearly told that his administration wants China to get involved in Afghanistan.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on several occasions told China should send PLA troops to Afghanistan. But China has strongly refused all these proposals by NATO alliances. China said apart from the UN peace keeping operations approved by the UNSC, China never sends her PLA troops abroad.

NATO knows without assistance from PLA troops, they cannot succeed in their military deigns in Afghanistan. However, China opposes the NATO's ****** policy and says China cannot support any military operations by NATO in Pakistan, China's closest friend.

Answer is definitely NOT!

India, USA and Al Qaeda are 3 major evil potential enemies trying splitting China!

We would greatly love to see China contribute in Afghanistan for undermentioned reasons:

1. It bolsters the efforts of WoT in terms of more on board contributing actively to establish peace in this highly volatile area.

2. It allows a country perceived as Pakistan friendly to be in a position to reassure Pakistan of its security interests as also encourage Pakistan to take further steps to cut off safe havens in its territory.

3. It shall force China to send a strong message that terror in garb of jihad has no place (as an extension further ensure their security in Xinjiang province)

4. And purely militarist PoV from indian side, tie down Chinese troops in a quagmire which has no potential of being resolved in near duration. Any nation entering the region will have to prepare for a long haul and any intervention by China there will only fuel unrest in its own western region.

Points 3 and 4 above are contrary to each other and its a dilemma facing Chinese Politicians in real terms.

We China are not a minion of USA.

Let Indian trolls to do this holy mission! :victory:

Also the NATO's military design is not limited within Afghanistan, it includes some regions of Pakistan.

China should not send PLA troops to Afghanistan if Pakistan objects. Because the friendly relationship with Pakistan is more important than sending troops and helping NATO to achieve success.

sure that is why a Chinese presence is very eesential and it shall be in Pakistani interests too to have more of Chinese presence there than exclusively that of powers it perceives/established in eroding Pakistani security on that side ...

and Chinese presence will ensure that PA is more free to take stronger offensive measures against elements on its side of the border

I would like to suggest China should continue refusing any such invitation even if it is approved by UN, unless USA agrees with China in having a fair deal to secure China's Geo-strategic interests.

a presence in afghanistan allows China to meet those interests very nicely. It provides a launching pad for China into CARs. However, a rider is there too. India and China are heading into economic competition in CARs and while China is leading there in terms of number of contracts awarded for Oil and Gas, the issue remains that the predominant Muslim character of these states causes them to look with unease at China (with its perceived attrocities in Xinjiang) and makes them more comfortable with India (with a predominantly free and vocal Muslim population)

I see only 2 pitfalls in Afghanistan for China

1. Further inflammation of perceived anti-Islam sentiments of China with increased unrest in Xinjiang (as Chinese will be fighting Islamists)
2. Unease and insecurity about long term intentions of China in CARs and this may lead to a negative effect on Chinese business and economic interests there

Don't label China is anti-Islam.

China is just only anti-extreme Islamic.

East Turkistan terrorists think that they are nationals of Turkey and pro-USA. But some of them also accept assistance from Osama bin Laden.

East Turkistan terrorism are co-sponsored by both USA and Al Qaeda before 911.

unfortunately a jingoistic approach without any thought on the strategic implication of the situation in Afghanistan on your Xinjiang Province.

I would surely request you to not repeat second statement of yours if you are unable to grasp anything as fundamental as your own security and have no idea of impact of radicalisation of Muslim population on your peace and stability.

You may say whatever, but the situation in Afghanistan and its possible effect on your position in Xinjiang has your polity worried albeit off records. You have 2 regions of potential problems/unrest.

1. Xinjiang
2. Tibet

Unrest in these regions can flare up anytime and these have dire consequences for your security and can tie you down permanently.

China has no interest in Afghanistan, but China don't allow Western and India's intervene with Tibet and Xinjiang.

China only wants NATO and Taliban extremist / Al Qaeda die together in Afghanistan. (We can support any side if another side turns stronger! :thinktank::chilli: :sniper::usflag: )

Who is labelling China as such? Please do read my lines and understand them before shooting off what ever you perceived and understood. You are way off target here.

And anyways since when has communism allowed god?

provide links for the same otherwise you are out to only troll and derail the topic here, unable to clearly appreciate and understand any post and then going offbeat here.

We can suppress Al Qaeda. At least they cannot attack China with serious fatalities.

So one target is we must reduce NATO dominance in Afghanistan (Afghanistan must not be a minion of NATO and USA - this is a common consensus of China, Russia, Pakistan and Iran)

however u wanna view religion in china, the fact is there are religions according to law religion is allowed but u can only "declare" ur region upon reaching the age of 18 so yes god is "allowed", just never in official government work like the way the USA is suppose to be

Hi brother, East Turkistan is not related with Islamic, its a racism problem.
Hui ethnic in China is also muslims, but uygur is also against Hui muslims, alleged to kill "Hui" muslims.
"Esat Turkistan" is sponsored by "Turkish nationalism" in Turkey.
