Shootout: Who makes better weapons

Russia make good small arms and their ballistic and cruise missiles are generally better. Their anti-tank missiles are deadly. Also, awesome nuke subs! Typhoon Class FTW! :victory:

America produced awesome birds from the very beginning. And absolute world class in electronic warfare and stealth technology with no equal in this world. I also think that American air-dropped bombs are the best.

Oh, by the way, the M1 Abrams and the Leopard 2 came from a common ancestor. Americans counted on Germans to build half of the M1 Abrams. So tanks go to the Germans :P
The Joint MBT-70 Project

Both the USA and Russia have their strengths.

US and Russia make potent system meant for different scnarios...

Infantry rifle:
Russia: AK 47 , to be used in full auto spray and pray, although can be acurate in hands of trained men... both of them in soviet states,

US: M16, one of the most accurate weapon systems, building on the large rifleman tradition of american, M16 is acurate, a true riflemans gun, who caes for his gun .. keeps the gun clean and aims when he fires. its not a spray and pray gun..

ak's work for russians and m16 works for the americans till the 90's...

new era in warfare brings acuracy to russians in form of AN94 and AK 101 and brings robustness to american in form of bushmaster ACR.
Both are learning and adapting to each other.
American though have a big advantage of bigger budget, bigger clientele whereas russia enjoys monopoly in its traditional markets...

Not to forget another emerging big player "CHINA" with it JF 17, A100, and norinco small arms factory... china is slated to be one of the major players in next 10-15 years.

When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface, and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 degrees Celsius.

The Russians used a pencil.

it seems using a pencil was not enough to send a man to moon for Russians.

The Article was Russian plus indian biased , the writer fail to mention many a times when indian planes (Russians) were downed by PAF (mostly American weapons) .

IF they want to compare it then stop this bias in article he should have mentioned it otherwise.

I am not saying Russian weapons are junk or americans are but if u want to compare then make it on equal grounds.

More than enough to launch the first satelite or to put the first human in space, certainly enough to be the first to have a space station. Enough to do many things actually.
