if you cant follow give respect to them. thats what i only want. its not their fault its just Jahalat. As what people do at shrines....
:hitwall:

So basically it's your way or hiway -- Oh well

No where in Islam does it say give WRONG IMPRESSIONS about Islam....If people say ALLAH HU AKHBAR and blow themselves is wrong impression then so is what was happening in the video![/QU"OTE]

Ok, help us understand, exactly what is the "wrong" here -- Is it dancng? is it "girl? or is it girl dancing"?

And please help us understand what would be the "right" way to "celebrate"

@muse

Muse, we have to understand the problem from an insider's perspective, we cannot judge the folks as there may be inherit cultural or spiritual reasons so wait until he explains his view point. For example in Pakistan's culture, folks eat food with their bare hands without using utensil, at first glance I would think that this is disgusting and uncivilized however once I learned to eat with my hand, the butter poulet tasted much better as the curry sauce is better mixed with brown rice in comparison to just eating the sauce and rice without mixing in a Canadien way.

Ask yourselves, why dont we recite Naat Shareef with music? or Hamd e Bari Taala Shareef?

Because its disrespectful.

Apply this to this video. But i agree with PakistaniSage, that this is a fake video, probably created by one of wahabi/salafi groups in Pakistan to malign Eid Milad un Nabi.

If not, then it is an isolated matter of gross ignorance. And, i am witness to the fact that Pakistani Sunnis and Shias are most respective of Eid Milad un Nabi, and its banners.

Above Banner its written "Comrade Cadet School"..........:blink:

I understand your adventures, and I think I have an insiders view - it's just one that some of over arabized crew share -- we can all have different views of what is and is not "appropriate" but in this debate, what we are doing is asserting the "rightness" the "correctness" of one interpretation over others - and that's where our problems start - if you note a most revealing point about "what people do at shrines" -

Ask yourselves, why dont we recite Naat Shareef with music? or Hamd e Bari Taala Shareef?

Because its disrespectful.

But isn't the Azaam a song? Is that music? Isn't Quran recited with the cadence of music? Are those disrespectful expressions

The larger point I would like us to consider is whether we need a police or rent collectors to decide what is the right way to celebrate a birthday

I am very confused right now and another typical day in defence.pk but I think I get the point of your comment. What are shrines pardon my ignorance but I think I understand the fact that in Pakistan's culture it is consider inappropriate to dance on messenger Muhammed's birthday however in comparison dancing on his birthday from at least a Canadien's perspective would be a nice way to celebrate such a momentous day. So I think the problem goes back to cultural differences and sensitivities so I mean here in the west dancing may be an Ok way to celebrate such a blessed day but in Pakistan's culture, dancing may be associated with other stuff to keep things in perspective.

Also thanks/shukaria @usama waqas for your insight, sorry about my ignorance earlier. I thought the issue was due to the girl's comment on the prophet or something in that regards but once again thanks for clarifying that.

Did you see the video? I am talking about the occasion based on the banner and the song and the dance...

I believe you welcome that after going off to UK but mind you OUR CULTURE AND HERITAGE is with HAYA not with begayriti...

troll kindly keep to the topic.....

I don't know how it is not related to the topic. popularizing the video online will bring the wrath of self righteous fanatics who consider it their duty to protect their religion against blasphemers.

People seek entertainment and women dace is popular in each and every country. What's wrong with her dancing??? she is getting money out of it, people are getting entertained... she is just in professional entertainer... nothing more nothing less.

The problem here is u can't celebrate about that thing, which that thing, which is strongly forbidden (Dance + music) by that thing.

here in pakistan illiterate people use to go at shrines do sajdah, beg for their desires...... and alot of worst thing if you hear you will laugh at their wise.

This is a BS video. Guys I make videos and in video making business there is an editing technique called " Chroma Key " where an activity is done in front of green background and then replaced by another.

This is clearly a " Doctored Video ". No need to get worried.

@pak-marine @Talon @Aslan @usama waqas @Imran Khan @RazPaK @Gentleman @wasm95 @DESERT FIGHTER @Tikolo @Tk_90 @Armstrong

Here is some Information on Chroma Key Editing technique where you can change the back ground:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_key

This is the same technique used in Movies where you see Slyvester stallone hanging on cliff with one hand and with 3000 feet clear drop. He is actually in the studio all rigged up in front of a green curtain or background and thaen the background is replaced with the Mountain shot.
