I think you are ignoring the pan Islamic identity here. The Kashmiris are not fighting for a secular free state. But an Islami Nizam. I sometimes wish we all keep our national identities secndary and focus on our being Muslim first. This attachement of Kashmir with Pakistan alone has hurt it. Many Indian mUslims are sympathetic to Kashmir but they are ignored because they belong to India. This is unfair.
