Indo-Bangladesh Border issues need to be resolved Amicable, and the impetus should be on India to ensure that lethal force should never be used for immigration violations... Every incident of BSF using lethal force on illegal border crossings is absolutely despicable... Hopefully the rejuvenated Indo-Bangla relations will ensure such incidents never happen.

These illegal border jumpers are taints in BD national image. They dont believe in any national boundary. Maybe will be most happy if BD merge with India. Its the agenda of top class BD people to maintain the sovereignty. My suggestion to India is to electrify and mine the border as well from these Indian loving traitors. And fellow BD member @Bangla25 was saying these people deserve it.

Sheikh Hasina had to make a very strong statement. I don't know but wish there was a better way of doing this. Well such as it is with Bangladeshi politics. I hear Begum Khaleda Zia celebrates 15th August as her birthday, the day Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and many of his family members were killed, while her passport says her birthday is 19th August. Maybe Bangladeshis like making symbolic statements ?

Geography is the barrier.

Geography does not restrict two countries from reaching out to each other. If that were the case US wouldn't had been our largest trading partner.

It is not arrogance that had developed, it is exasperation. No one is willing to waste time on an organisation like SAARC if it remains hostage to India-Pakistan problems. After all, India cannot look at alternatives if the other countries didn't agree. The fact that the other countries decided that this grouping is what they want clearly shows the writing on the wall. This PM of India has laid a lot of stress at economic cooperation with neighbouring countries, more than any before. Pakistan feels unable to join, that is Pakistan's right. What is now being taken away is the de facto veto that Pakistan had in SAARC, where it could say that if India didn't give Pakistan what it wanted, there won't be any movement in SAARC because Pakistan will block it. That bluff has now been called. essentially Pakistan is now looking at SAARC with Pakistan or SAARC without Pakistan, even if that will be called something other than SAARC.

You can name your arrogance whatever you like, frankly speaking no body in Pakistan gives a damn about Modi or Modi's India. The only time we hear is when there are talks about terrorism and Indian hand in it. Till now Pakistan was taking hits and continue to be blamed and bashed but now things are becoming different. I bet you haven't seen Pakistan this proactive and vocal about Indian sponsored terrorism inside Pakistan. SAARC countries are fully aware why Pakistan cannot and is hesitant where India is involved, this is also true vice versa. There wont be a SAARC without Pakistan, anything else would be a bilateral agreements between two countries and India cannot stop Pakistan for having that with any country. Russia has started opening up to Pakistan despite Indian annoyance and pressure. Do you believe the world resolves around Indian whims and wishes? Think again!

India is nowhere near that position where it could simply dictate terms to other countries in the region.
