Shehbaz Sharif criticises Malala's UN assembly speech and gets blasted by..

haramda baan ki moon.....what has he done to stop the massacre of muslims in burma, kashmir, chechnya and palestine?are kids not affected there?

goof retard.

what about kids in F.A.T.A........being killed in drone strikes?

are they not son of the soil sir?

Just curious.. How is Malala being viewed worldwide? Pakistan's hero? or Pakistan's victim?

Depends on who's the viewer.

At least in America you got the:

Ignorant Idiots, who know nothing about anything, viewing her as a Victim.

The vast majority see her as a pioneer cutting across the confines of male dominated society. A young Pakistani "Feminist".

Then people who know more than what CNN and FOX is showing, wondering what happened to the other girls in that van. And why other girls who have been attack in Afghanistan or Pakistan aren't being taken to the UK.

Never forget the immortal words of M. Albright--the SoS to Bill Clinton when some UN officials got too free: "They [UN] should not forget who is paying their salaries...".
Baan ki Moon can't do much!

Back to the topic: So what if the speech was for global consumption?! She also courageously defended Muslims and Pakistan. She almost HAD to sound 'balanced' otherwise she would be just one more 'Islamist' using UN as the propaganda platform and would be ignored. Don't you think she has actually helped better Pakistan's image?! I am convinced she did! The tears in the yes of Baan's wife (the lady beside Malala's parents?) were for the world to see again and again during Malala's speech.

Her speech was fine and in fact pretty emotionally riveting. I'm glad she had the wisdom to also mention the other girls who were shot next to her.

Education indeed is a right for all. I hope the coward whackjob sissy who shot her was watching the address.

I was watching news yesterday and the western media is extremely supportive of her they keep calling her an "inspiration", women's rights advocate, she will probably win the Nobel peace prize, get free admission to top Universities, she's an international star now and a major women's rights advocate. She's perfect because she's young, pretty, speaks English, promotes girls education in what many perceive as a dangerous Muslim country.

Yup a dangerous Muslim country and then there are talibans-

I see no effort either from the Pakistani administration or folks at UN to differentiate between these two-

Here is where the problem lies-
The world is made to see both with the same lens-

Malala a young girl- victim of brutal talibans will soon come out as a victim of extremist Pakistani society-

One has to answer this for himself first- Malala is victim of talibans or the narrow minded Pakistani society-

It is just simply remarkable that a place like Swat valley can produce such a talented person with such courage, may lord give her a long life and i hope she wins her struggle in getting education for the young girls in pakistan. I don't want to start a religious tangent but for the sake of positivity in this holy month for some, the messenger Muhammed preached importance of education and the theme of struggle for the betterment of society and this young lady is a shining example of those themes. Despite being mortally wounded, a child at her age has resounding courage, which must be commended considering that some of us of here in west take our right to education for granted.

Also shame to Chief Minister for such a low taste remark and I am sure some of the taliban sympathizer must be burning reading this news, must take alot of courage shooting little children. I am right now fasting so I will control my language but some of the comments on this website reflect some disturbed people.
