I'm glad this is happening.
Such prejudices existed in the past because we as Indians didn't know much about our fellow Indians. To us a person from North east was a chinky, south indian was dark, Punjabi's were drunkards (high on hormones!) and Maharashtrians were ghatis.
I'm glad that we've now a multicutural society in a true sense.
My sympathies with Sharad Yadav.
But yet again, he's not off the mark by pulling a blank statement on south Indians. Take any bollywood movie which shows a south Indian character (i'm not talking about 2 states movie lol) south Indians 're shown as dark, with curly hairs and a peculiar accent. Lolzz

Actually he didn't say anything offensive at all...he just said that south indians 're dark and beautiful (something to that effect).
I don't think being called dark is offensive.
