The Branch Davidians religious PRACTICES, which clearly implicated BEHAVIORS and ACTIONS, violated the laws. The prosecution of this religious sect was never based upon their religious beliefs but only upon those actions. If any babies dies in defying the law enforcement, the blame rests upon the leaders, meaning the adults, who put children in harm's way. If the sect members had given up the children, are you saying we would have shot them anyway?

The joke is on you and the regime you are defending here. The regime that serves "legal notice" to one year babies and upon their refusal the babies are killed by anti-tank rounds. Thank God, Iranian government does not have such legal notices.

You shouldn't say such a thing without even looking into the matter. I have strong doubts this unbrained guy has any idea about the number of sects in the US. It is none but the US that has given freedom to even sects like Mormons.

I cannot even imagine what would happen to the completely non-violent Amish and Mennonites if they were in any other country. They have almost disappeared from the countries of their origin. It can happen nowhere but only in the US where in spite of all the resistance this wrongly vilified government has given the Muslims all the rights to build a gigantic Mosque right near ground zero.

No one knows who fired the first shot, but the very first day 5 ATC and 5 Branch Davidians died. Yet the following siege lasted 50+ days, - Because the government did not want anymore to get hurt and kept negotiating and kept asking for anyone to come out to negotiate.

Throughout the period, a lot of people came out, and they were all taken to safety, all the while when the Branch Davidians had automatic guns stored with them, which is very criminal.

And they had so many guns and all the ammunition, that they easily outlasted the FBI and the ATC, the very first day itself.

In other countries such sects dealing extensively in guns and breaking all sorts of laws and then shooting at law enforcement personnel are not given 54 days to negotiate.

I suggest you to go through the entire case carefully before you make up your mind, rather than agreeing with someone who is very clearly lying out of hatred.

Since this thread is a response to the current story about Iran's persecution of a Christian for being a Christian now allegedly for rapes and extortion, we should be generous and allow the possibility that the Iranian government botched the filing of correct papers regarding which crimes the Christian was going to be charged with. The rapes and extortion charges probably got lost in transit somewhere between the second and third floors of the Ministry of Propaganda building.
