He was Politician he was Not even Know were to Point 5353 on Map In fact 14 corps captured Point 5070 during 2003 Op Prakram
It is amusing to see point 5353 come up. Neither Indian nor Pakistani Governments are worrying about it. Know why?
1. Because it was exchanged. India got naughty and occupied 6 peaks on and across the LoC. 3 of them surrounding 5353, peak 5240 and 2 other peaks. Pakistan had two peaks inside Indian territory
but cut off. Had Pakistan stayed, those two peaks along with the battalion occupying it(there were roughly 3 companies atop two peaks along with artillery) would have been neutralized.
2. So India and Pakistan exchanged the peaks for Peace. India got back all peaks it had before and Pakistan went back. Point 5353 being
on the line was
not to be occupied by either side.
But there are troops of both sides that regularly meet unofficially.
3. Besides 5353 is a concave enclave - which means, it is surrounded on all sides by Indian peaks. So holding on to 5353 by Pakistan is itself extremely embarrassing.5240, 4251 and 4875
4. Some Indian generals were not happy about this 'unjust' settlement and criticized the HQ for giving into 'politics' calling it a political 'defeat'.
5. Some trolls here picked up this word - 'defeat' and extended it to the entire operation and made a complete fool of themselves.
