Sectarian violence in Egypt kills Christians

oh, we saw what the western democracy done to Christians in the M.E... The west are killing Christians in the M.E... and now they are doing it in Syria.

i am very sad about it. still i believe some countries should teach well the respect and tolerance rules ...

but you know who are the kind of fanatics who attack the Christians....
these people are a poison in our region. they kill people and they destroy the great future that could be in our region.

the west supporting those fanatics, the west support Alqaeda... perfect example is Syria and how the west gives those fanatics weapons and money and support...

Sure you don't want to wait a bit? Scuttlebutt in D.C. is that Erdogan is backtracking, demanding that Israel allow shipments of heavy weapons to Gaza: link Presumably he's also resumed his attitude that it's illegal for Jews to defend themselves from deadly attacks - they must die instead and their attackers must be hailed as heroes. From there he can accuse anybody of being or supporting Jews or Israel and can do anything he wants to them, regardless of law and fact - for Turks have already accepted bending laws and facts in the name of "defending" their countrymen from "criminal Zionists."
You do realize that there are upcoming elections this year in Turkey?
Where does it say in your LINK,that weapons should be allowed into Gaza?
Again, you only look at what Erdogan says.
What Erdogan says and what he does are different things, wait after the elections(he wouldnt do anything Obama doesnt want)
Read what turks wrote on PDF about the apology for the Flottila incident.
Not evryone wants jews dead, dont drmatize events or statements.

.. because we saw MB in Egypt, and they still with the west and Israel..

Yeah right, Morsi refused to talk to any Israeli leaders, rejected Peres peace offers and MB members used anti Israel speechs and I don't see Morsi condeming the Brotherhood for that. It is clear that he is not ally with Israel unlike Mubarak but I think he has good ties with the West that's what the media says

the Empire had crumbled and was in shambles and shards

Sultanic excesses on one hand and Arab betrayal on the other seemed to have moved his vision for Turkish Republic away from the at-the-time prevailing "backwardsness" of the Middle East region

Ataturk was well ahead of his time. Today Turkiye is a Muslim country with strong institutions and good law & order situation. Overall - despite some ongoing issues - an overall success.

Turks however aren't homogeneous; they all have different political beliefs. Most seem to respect their leader AtaTurk and I understand why they do.

Why don't you just mind your business, Arab so called "betrayal" to Turks was the same as Pakistani "betrayal" to India, nothing more nothing less.

Nu, so?

Where does it say in your LINK,that weapons should be allowed into Gaza?
Where it says Erdogan wants ALL restrictions lifted.

Not evryone wants jews dead, dont drmatize events or statements.
I'm not. Erdo didn't say so specifically but that is the corollary of what he's been trying to accomplish, for without the right to self-defense Jews are reduced to begging, and the list Israel's enemies who have declared repeatedly that they want to kill Jews when they can possibly manage it is very long.

Remember, the "flotilla" sailed with Erdo's personal blessing and assurances, his party helped organizing it, and the terrorists on board, as the families of the deceased admitted, were out to be martyrs. So there are good grounds for holding Erdo culpable for plotting the wrongful deaths of Turkish citizens - I'm not saying he is, but certainly enough for a trial by today's standards and a legal military coup by the standards of the last century. His chosen way out has been to criminalize Israel instead of apologizing or engaging in statesmanlike conduct.

Don't you wonder, then, if today's Turkey, in abandoning the restraining hand of its Westernized military for a more democratic system, will really remain free in the long run or will it mutate into yet another religious tyranny aspiring to Empire, as the M-B seeks to do with Egypt as its base?

If Turkey is falling it is clearly a big disaster for the region.

by the way are young Turks ideas still represent an important part of the population?

solomon, you know Orhan Pamuk ? did you read "snow"? if you have time to read , and you didn't, i suggest it :)

There is nothing a minority can do,in a democrasy most votes rule.
So,are you now ready to admit that democrasy isnt made for all countries?
At least before,we had a watchdog who made sure the islamist didnt go to far.
But i wouldnt worry to much,Obama wont let Erdogan go to far.

No, I haven't read it but reading the plot description and reviews I see I should. Thanks for the tip!

Where it says Erdogan wants ALL restrictions lifted.

'"All of the embargoes should be eliminated once and for all," he said through an interpreter.'

Keeping out weapons and decreasing Arabs' ability to kill Jews is the primary purpose of the embargo; it's not like people are being starved, hundreds of tons of food and supplies enter Gaza daily - through Israeli territory.

There is nothing a minority can do,in a democrasy most votes rule.
Frank acknowledgments that T-123456 considers minorities in his country have no inherent rights but are merely tolerated AND that there are no restraints upon Erdogan's conduct, regardless of what Turkey's laws and constitution actually say. Can tyranny be far off?

But i wouldnt worry to much,Obama wont let Erdogan go to far.
Obama isn't Bush: he LIKES radical dictators who stir up their supporters on the street!

True democrats don't put their faith in princes, T - neither foreign nor domestic.

Again, either you dont understand or you dont want to understand, are you blond or blind?
I quote again what you wrote;

Christians and Muslims in Egypt are two different nations, the famous two nation theory states. So the copts should be given their own country if they so demand.

They are not doing that now because they are afraid of getting massacred, but if the islamists keep showing them their real place in a religious setup, they will have to consider atleast SOME action.

The two nation theory should be applied again from it was evolved first. ;)

The only difference between them is religion

Probably Egypt might take some help in this regard from champions of Two Nation Theory
