Second Language for Pakistan

We already have a second language, it's English.

Rather than focusing on foreign languages we should focus on translating works into our own language, religious works, scientific works, technical works, so that our people understand concepts in a sound manner.

Our education system should teach children Urdu from day 1, back it up with the mother tongue (whatever it is locally). English should be taught as a language from day 1 too but not employed as a medium of understanding for other subjects.

In secondary school we should then provide kids the option to choose another language to learn, whatever they want/the school can provide.

I think your head is a bit mashed . I was only challenging your hideous idea off introducing Arabic because apparently it would give us strong ties with the useless Arab nations which is absolute bullshit.And as for the second language its very clear from my part it should be English across the country but introducing second language would cause more challenges to the already weakened local languages off Pakistan.
Conclusion should there be a second language like English yes absolutely but not at the comprise off local languages

I never suggested that Arabic be made a second language, it was a hypothetical plausibility in response to someone else's suggestion, if only you weren't just empty-headed apart from being blind you would know what was being discussed before you jumped in all guns blazing.

Instead of having a dedicated 2nd language, we should let the people choose what language they wish to learn. So basically Urdu being the National language is compulsory and then one elective language of your choice.

The reason for this is that currently most Pakistanis are moving to either the GCC countries or they go to the limited English speaking nations. We can diversify our human export destinations if they can speak the language.

Also i would prefer if we switched to Roman Urdu.

i would go for Arabic not because arab world its cuz Arabic is chosen by Allah for Quran so language is perfect no doubt. it will take decades for Pakistan to raiz a nation under arabic language but believe me that would be one of the Great thing we cud achieve.

Under islam you are free to speak and follow any of your cultural practices. Dont mix that with religion.
