You have no chance of joining the UNSC, since the UN charter requires UNANIMOUS approval from all the P-5 members, before allowing new permanent members.

You can stay as a non-permanent UNSC member though.

Does this mean they will be non permanent members and will leave their seat whereas China will always be there. That is such a shame that a small country by population like UK is also permanent but 1.2 billion Indians are not allowed.

There is infighting within european union already from Italy n Germny who want the France n Uk to vacate thier USC claim n let the europen union hv single voice....

Neither is population a factor for membership in UNSC, it was mainly formed by WW 2 victors. And India's role was neutral in WW2.

Obviously our economy is too closely tied with America's to destroy our relationship at this point.

However, why do we need to? We can protect our interests and maintain ties at the same time, just like we have been doing.
