Depends because America need Pakistan and vice versa but once the troops are pulled out of Afghanistan im not sure what the relationship will look like, however there is a big Pakistani diaspora in the West so links will be there.

well we have excellent relationship with all SCO countries except Pak and china. So being a member wont do much for us. intersting development is entry of a Major Non Nato Ally in SCO

SCO is the way to go to stabilize this region. SCO should take over from USA/NATO in Afghanistan. But Russia and China should take their hands off from Syria, they are no longer welcome there.

Yes, but SCO's southward reach goes up to borders of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Syria is not in that region. SCO should have no business meddling in Syria which is outside this region. SCO's business should be to stabilize Afghanistan instead and take it over from USA/NATO. Just my personal opinion.

SCO is good for regional stability and greater chance of solving regional problems without involving foreign influence, hope someday SCO can deliver/decide solution for Afghan crisis rather than NATO or USA.

yeah, you are right. Afganistan is certainly SCO's core interest as Karzai himself is joining the summit. Well Syria is also China and especially Russian concern.

Regarding the influence SCO won't be confined in the region as you see the magnitude of both China and Russia are both global powers.
