i cant comment on the rank but persia will rise again. it is a great people and a cultural center of world.

the most spectacular rise is China's. India and China were seperated by a some 7000 documents. In 14 years though India increases about 3.5 times China increases about 10 times...

In the same time Iran increases by about 34 times partly due to its very low count in 96(810). still the change is quite major...

Iran has the world's fastest growth rate in science and technology as per US government report contributing 1.2% of world's total science and technology output. But Iran still has a long way to go to increase its output as well as bringing its science and technology products to markets for which Iran needs to develop an economic frame work favoring high technology companies and not old style bazar economics. Also Iranians have to be careful that if they want to rise and become a first world country they need to increase their research and development budget as well as keep spending more on education and medical care. These are the three most important sectors in which any government that wants to develop has to spend lots of money on it as much as practically possible. Unfortunately Iran's spending on research and development is small at only 0.7% of GDP which should ideally rise to 3% if Iran wants to be among the top ten countries producing science in the world.

most of these products have unveiled from 2005 up to now.
israel has only a military industry in other cases there is no more tech in israel compareable with Iran.
