This is the real change. People like Nawaz zardari etc can not win a direct election. But with indirect election even modi can become the prime minister of Pakistan. Only thing he needs is support of 150 MNAs. Is system main agar Quaid azam election laray to 1 seat bhi na jeetay.

There is the possibility that directly electing the President will invigorate the electorate in that they know their vote will count towards the election of the person running the government, rather than the current system of Parliament electing the Prime Minister. And if more people turn out to vote directly in the Presidential elections, you'll have a downstream impact of more people voting for the MNA's, MPA's etc.

The flip side is that Punjab alone has half the population of Pakistan, so expect some of the provincial nationalist parties to complain about a direct elect Presidential system favoring Punjab. The creation of a South Punjab province first might make this more acceptable to the smaller provinces.

Perhaps we even go to directly electing Senators instead of the current method.

Pakistan has powerful military, just couple of days ago Al-Jazera English do some report about many abduction happening in Pakistan, some of them targeted journalist. Many analyst accuse it is done by Pakistan military.

Pakistan need strong civilian leader to bring military to its suitable place which is to defend the country militarily from foreign forces, and let domestic security to be handled by police. Having a Presidential system is one of the answer to solve this problem.

It has been several weeks since one prominent journalist is abducted in Pakistan.

Those are accusations without evidence.

The military does not have to abduct journalists - there are plenty of ways other than abduction to minimize their influence. There are many, many outspoken critics of the Pakistani military that continue to live free and without issue. If the military was really abducting these people, all of them would have vanished.

In order to make Pakistan developing country and free from corrupt leaders needs one Last Martial Law.

After imposing kick out corrupt leaders with no NRO
Get rid of mafias
Bring presidential systrm
Make changes in law,court etc

Its a need of time not by choice.
