Why vote once in 5 years when you can vote on your issues daily? Modern problems require modern solutions. Parliament/Senate is obsolete.

Because the general public is not educated enough to understand complex legal, political and diplomatic technicalities to make the right decisions. Which was the idea behind a representative democracy in the first place. Except we just end up electing idiots most of the time.

Useless endeavor. The lawyer couldnt care less since if the case gets media highlight, his graph will increase and this is exactly what the president of the party, that is filing the petition is doing as well. Get some fame under his wing. There was a petition filed before as well and it was dismissed. The points in the plaint are breaking every single rule of writing a plaint and he did exactly what they asked to not do.

Any lawyer with an iota of legal sense would understand why parliamentary system cannot be removed from Pakistan. The most they were able to do was create a semi-presidential system and there is a reason even dictators had to form parliaments.

Representative democracy makes those illiterate people make a mistake and the country suffer for it for a full term. A fully digital law making process that enables people to actually interact with the law making entity on a daily basis will eventually calibrate itself to perform optimally most of the time; without waiting for a next term to choose another "khacchar".

Allah will surely bless Pakistan for dropping old British Parliament ways of government. If we go all the way to Presidential System like Türkey, then it will be biggest and most impactful reform in our country's history. The position of PM should be abolished and Imran Khan should become President.

Can't have a referendum unless its approved by the joint sitting of both the Parliament and the Senate due to 18th Amendment.

So its only possible after the Senate elections and even then i am not sure that some PTI members in the NA and Senate will approve for a referendum.

IMO just changing the system from Parlimantry to Presidential isn't enough, we also dissolve the existing provinces and elevate Divisions to Provincial status.

If a Zardari or Shareef comes into power, there will be a French style revolution. I can see it now.

Pakistan is too diverse a country to have a Presidential system. This is just media hype and nothing else.

Unless PTI make PM the President to escape the corruption charges under presidential office immunity. This is what Zardari did as well
